Guest Blocking now On for everything by default

By popular demand, we have set Guest Blocking ON for all submissions rated Adult. You need to turn it OFF for any Adult submissions that you want Guests to be able to see.

Guests are users who do not have an Inkbunny account. They still cannot comment, fav, etc even if they can access your adult work.

Update: To allow Guests to see an adult work, go to the Ratings setting for that submission (link is at top of the submission page and can only be seen by the owner). Under ratings you will see a tickbox called Block Guests. Make sure that is not ticked if you want guests to be able see the submission. Guests will still need to click past a page asking them to agree to the Terms of Service and declaring they are an adult, before electing to see any Adult work. Even then, they can only see the submissions artists have enabled in the way we described.

Sorry for the inconvenience. If anyone wants their whole account, or certain rated items in the account, enabled or disabled for Guests, file a support ticket and we'll do it for you right away to save you the time of doing it one by one.

Remember - if your work was already rated adult, then it already has "Block Guests" on by default. So essentially nothing changes and you don't have to do anything unless you want guests to see your Adult work afterall.

Thanks!

So, how do I turn this off if I want guests to see my art work? >> What is a support ticket? Sorry. >_<

It's a little link near the bottom called "Customer Service - Support Tickets" and that's what you use to contact the staff. =3

If you go to Ratings for any Submission, there's a tickbox labeled "Block Guests" underneath all the options to set things Mature/Adult.

Forgot to add, there's also a little red circle icon under each of your submissions on your Gallery page. That tells you when a submission is blocked from guests viewing it. It's gray instead of red if guest blocking is off for that submission. And you can turn blocking on and off at the Gallery level if you tick submissions and then select the Block action in the dropdown box there.

Let me know if you need help!

Sounds sensible to me.

Also sounds like another candidate for making available for batch processing--i.e. check a bunch of boxes in your gallery to enable/disable Guests for all you check at once.

Ooh good point!

Thanks! Earlier, I'd been working on the assumption that some of the suggested batch processing features would be most useful for people setting up their Inkbunny account, as many have been--uploading, as I did, dozens of files at once and wanting to apply changes en masse. But making new features batch-processable would ALSO greatly ease use when, instead of the person being new to Inkbunny, Inkbunny has a feature new to them.

And, of course, anything that makes Inkbunny easier for people to use than other sites is good for Inkbunny. :3

It'd be quite usefull if we could have a password to give to some people who may want to view our prints. We could give out access to certain people or people who ask for it instead of turning it off for every guest who may happen accross your page :3  (i'm sure some people have people in their life they'd rather not randomly run into their work ~.^ haha.)

Just a thought~

We're thinking of adding a kind of "invitation only" mode to accounts so you can have a private art gallery that only people you allow in can see. That sorta does what you want, but it's hard to have one overall password for Guests in case someone leaks that password to people you don't want to invite! :o

I know someone who would love an Invitation Only mode.  (Would probably save him the time of creating another website.)

Also, if you have a single password for all guests, and it gets leaked, then surely you can just change the password, right?  But I get what you're talking about.

As Zeikcied said, you'd most likely be able to change your password :3

And thats neat~ It sorta does what i mentioned, but itd be for the entire gallery i guess eh? Would that invitation mode work with the guests?

To start with the invitation/exclusive members getting access to a private archive like that wouldn't work for guests. Sure you change the password but then how do you tell all the people the password changed, without the wrong people finding out again? It's just easier to manage if you allow/deny people based on their Inkbunny accounts. :3

I thought as much. Oh well.

There could also be an approval process from the artist. If someone wants to see their gallery, (if the artist currently had it under private or whatever) they could approve or deny people viewing their gallery. There person viewing would have an area to write who it is, etc. -if the person doesnt write anything, i would auto reject it XD as i always tell people to let me know who you are :D-
