I was just wondering, since nobody really told me, and since I never really asked... But I want to know, why is it that furries are so universally hated? Was there some huge terrible event that was perpetrated by a disgruntled group of furries? Or did everyone who's online who has a single bone of hatred in their body just decide that furries were going to be the #1 target for hate from now on... Just because they feel like it? I'm just making up stuff at this point, goofin', but honestly, it's something I've pondered to myself on more than one occasion. Keep in mind, I don't really consider myself a hardcore furry, I've met some really nice people in the community in the last few years I've been active here, but still, I never ran into many furs that were deserving of MY hate at least... It's just the extremely rude and hate filled comments that I see directed at people, who get insulted for saying something, having an honest opinion, often times having NOTHING to do with anything furry related, saying nothing wrong at all, yet just because they're furry, or have a furry icon or something like that, instant hate comment. Keep in mind, I'm not speaking about an experience that happened to me, just browsing comments on youtube was all I did, and even though those comments were not directed at me, it still REALLY upset me. I know it takes all kinds of people in the world to make the planet we live in, there's always gonna be hateful people, especially towards things they don't like, or don't understand, there just seems to be an extremely LOW level of tolerance around some parts... Now I know there's lots of different reasons, and I'm going to hear a lot of them with the varying opinions, but I just want to know all of your takes on it.
