I use a Bamboo Pen personally, and aside from my computer not being able to recognize the software because my computer is old, I've had no problems with the tablet.  Biggest problem you might have is finding replacement parts for the pen although the kit comes with parts to spare, but just have a way to get the parts externally in case something happens to the kit parts.

Otherwise, I like mine.

Bamboo is notoriously a little on the cheap side, material-wise, so don't be terribly surprised if it doesn't last... but it's accessible and approachable for the price.

yeah i only have 100 dollars to spend on it and i'd be using it more for simple coloring and shading...plus i'd like something simple to start out with so when i'm use to using a tablet i can get a better one..

I got my Monoprice for $70 and it still works. Like, mad. Same tablet since I started digi-drawing here. Only replaced the pen so far.
