We've added Donation and IB Gear links to the top menu bar. Did you already notice? :P
It was a shame to lose that nice empty space. But to help keep the site funded, we have to draw more attention to the fact we need cash donations and clothing sales.
Clothing sales also help. They give us about $5 per shirt ($10 for hoodies) and you get a cool way to show your support for the site at the next con you go to!
I may not be able to donate or buy, but I approve- The new signage looks great- Has more character than the others, though, but definitely not unwelcome! More power (and funding) to you! :)

Two links at the top of the site aren't all that bad. At least you're not going the DeviantArt route and plastering every other page with flash ads or crippling necessary services while offering to open them up to 'premium' users. You people have been classy and professional so far, and the two links up top only add to both aspects of this site.
So no worries where I'm concerned. :)

Nice. I understand why the donation process is a bit convoluted, but hiding the link all the way at the bottom of the page was too much.
If the hearts are eyecatching, that's a good thing :)
Streamlining the donation process for second-timers might help: just tell 'em they can pay the same way as before, at the same time they log the ticket, or even maybe let them skip the ticket altogether?
If the IB payment account needs to change, then an instruction like "If you've donated more recently than [date of most recent change] then you don't need to log the ticket" could work.
