I allways end up with the same two problems. With free art , as much as the saying goes "the customer is allways right" there not tecnicaly a customer , there not paying. So when ppl are very very picky and ask me to restart a billion times...it annoys me and makes me think there just takin advantage of me for free art...
However...my opinion on this changes when it comes to arttrades or commissions.
I feel an art trade is as much a paying thing as a commission. Ur getting paid in art work so u should be able to tell someone if there is a problem with the picture , or in a lot of cases I've had...a lot of problems. I feel like a lot of the time that ppl just slap somethin together for a trade and call it good. And it will look nothing like the reference sheet of the character id linked. An art trade should be able to be picky about how its done , and it should be done as if it was a paid piece , because the other person is paying with there time and artskills. I've come across far to many ppl who will get pissed off if u tell them somehings wrong on an art trade and they will refuse to fix it , or they will just half ass the picture completly and hardly follow the refs and info at all. I've also done art trades were I never got my half...
All these things makes me wonder if I'm just getting used for my art and if I should do free art and trades anymore. I put my 100% into each art piece I do...but others don't seem to.
Not about any specific person. Just a lot of things I've exsperienced.
