Introverted to Hell

There is no hell but the one we create.

Many people around me have been getting depressed, anxious, or antisocial because it is summer, and at the core of these problems is the fact that each fur wants to go outside but is too cloistered in on themselves to deal with people.

Most Furries are introverts, but when introversion turns into aversion, specifically of people, you have a problem.  I have been telling everyone I know that the way I overcame this was to remember when I entered my first convention, I was surrounded by people I did not know, and realized I only had this moment to make new friends, so boldly I took the leap into being social at the risk of being hurt or being seen as awkward.

Being normal in society is NOT a base skill for me; I had to learn it, and the only way to learn it was to get out there and do it.  In short, this is what I am trying to say to everyone: stop being afraid of people and running away from that which makes you happy; instead, learn how people work and find a way to be happy among them.

What if you have no vehicle and live in a very bad place where fear of people and staying indoors is a essential survival skill...like Detroit or Flint?

Then you either move or die.
