What are your recommendations for a sketch artist, such as myself?

In sketches, what I do initialy is positioning "stick figures" with correct proportions. Even if it's a sketch, a stick figure as a base is always a good help, specially for begginers, since it helps to avoid some proportions issues that could happen if a base is not used. It's easier to draw proportions first as a stick figure rather than doing it directly.

Also, using different colored lines per character helps to locate them easier. Try to not use always black, since it can make the sketch confusing and messy.

Yeah but seems is not posible. I think the only way I can show you correctly is via Stream. However I'm not good at those and I don't like it, since I usually don't draw lineally, this means I get constantly distracted by stuff, so the stream would be pausing a lot.

Depends on the level of detail. In my detailed artwork usually takes me 1 hour or 2 per character, depending on the complexity

I think I'm just average. There are ocations where I delay a lot more. since I usually draw nude stuff, is easier than drawing clothes.

Why are you so god-like in ability?

On a more serious note, I'd just like to say that you are my favorite artist. Your work is amazingly beautiful, even when pornographic in nature - perhaps especially in such situations, a trait that is quite rare. If I had to name an inspiration when it comes to artwork, it'd be you, no questions asked.

Well, probably Pokemon or similar characters. I find them more interesting to draw due to the high variety of characters.
Adult themed too since... well... is more fun! XD

Supongo que mi mayor problema es la anatomia, mayormente de los brazos y manos. Tambien mis poses no suelen ser muy dinamicas. Hasta la fecha no he podido dibujar con exito una pareja en accion, solo pin-ups. Aunque supongo que me diras que practique mas.

Bueno, acabo de hecharle un ojo a tu galeria, y la anatomia no esta nada mal. En si, practicar es la idea, pero tambien hay que saber como llevarlo a cabo. Si tienes problemas con las manos y los brazos, te recomendaria hacer varios dibujos que incluyan solo brazos y manos en diferentes posiciones, puedes usar tu mismo brazo como referencia para hacer las diferentes posiciones que quieras o puedes buscar fotos (igual con los animales). Una ves que hayas hecho varios, trata de volver a hacer alguna de esas mismas posiciones sin ver una referencia y podras compararlas y asi ver donde te equivocas mas, a veces no son las manos, si no los dedos, o los nudillos, etc. Esa es mi recomendacion por el momento, espero que te sirva.

Lo intentare, la verdad nunca he hecho una pagina solo de brazos y manos, nunca habia pensado que lo malo de las manos podia ser solo una parte, ahora mismo me pongo a ver que parte es la que falla mas.

Practicare y practicare todo lo que pueda, total estoy en vacaciones, y se que en un solo dia no voy a mejorar mucho, pero Tal vez despues, dentro de algun tiempo, pueda enseñarte algun avance. Oh y gracias por tu ayuda y por echarle un ojo a mi galeria, es un honor viniendo a alguien con tu nivel :3

Soy de Jalisco. Y pues... no uso tutoriales, realmente nunca veo ningun tipo de tutorial pues la mayoria de los fundamentos los aprendi en la escuela. A que te refieres con suaves?

mawww q buenisima onda lo de tu escuela x3 eso de los sketch suaves me e dado cuenta en muchos dibujos q sus trazos son suaves .. no se ven tan pixeleados y se ven muy lineales, quisiera aprenderlo para poder mejorar en ese tema del sketch

Bueno, eso depende del programa que uses, generalmente los programas de dibujo tienen pinceles suavizados por default. Otra cosa seria configurar la Tableta de dibujo para que la presion de la pluma afecte tanto el grosor de la linea como la transparencia y suavidad.

Pues tengo entendido que el SAI es muy similar, deberia tener esas opciones, solo que yo no conozco nada de el asi que no sabria decirte. XD

I've been following your art since I learned your Dark Mirage name on E621, and I've thoroughly enjoyed your art over the years.  Anyways, my question.

With pixel art, I find it hard to re-draw another styles of art in sprite/pixel art style.  I happen to be really good at anti-aliased art and pixel art, and I would like to know what you can recommend for tips on 'converting' normal art, be it drawn electronically or not, into good pixel art.

Well, I'm not an expert in sprites or pixel art, I stopped doing them long ago, so maybe I can't give you any recommendations.
You mean, from a big drawing, converting it to pixel art/sprite? Well, maybe the only thing is trying to keep the most important features of the drawing, since everything is smaller and a few pixels long, trying to depict and giving priority(allowing a bit more size for detail) to main features might work the best. Sorry I can't give you better tips. Hope it helps.

1: Are you a dude or a chick? And please, be truthful about your real life self, not any persona. I just ask this because I see the weirdest phenomenon in the furry fandom. Females produce more F/F art, per capita, than males in the furry fandom!

Sorry, I don't know about SAI.
You want to draw without Lineart? Well, it's not something simple. You need first to know how to draw with Lineart. Once you are experienced enough,you can basically imagine it in your mind and just put the color instead. It's hard to explain, but if you are starting, I would recommend drawing with Lineart first.

I take commissions over FurAffinity, search me under the name of DarkMirage. Currently there are no Slots left though. Once I open again maybe I open a journal here to inform. But the commission slot request is only over FA.
