Help a struggling Writer?

Hey fellow IB furs. I know at this point there's only 2 of you (maybe 3 by the time someone reads this) but I'm still going to address you none the less. I've been lurking here for almost a year now and I finally got the courage to write and share it with you guys, but Im afraid of failing at this point. If you'd like to participate some and help me feel better, tell some of your friends about my stories. Share your thoughts with others. Anything to get maybe just a few more furs to see my stuff.

I was hoping for a good turn out on my second piece, and I know I just started, but i was saddened by my results. Maybe Im being too hard on myself, but who knows.

Now off the emotional bit.

From here on Im going to try and have a fresh chapter at the end of every week. Not like he little one I added today, but full fledged chapters. So look forward to new stuff to read either Sunday or Monday and I'll do my damnedest to stay on track.

Have a great Tuesday!

I think you are being too hard on yourself.  ^.^  It's not a bad little story you got going on, you just need to relax a bit and let the views/comments come in their own time.  If you are writing this story for you, the main thing you need to do is enjoy yourself with it, and if you do then that's what truly matters.

P.S.  If I may make a suggestion, if you aren't doing this story on commission don't try to tie yourself down to a set schedule.  Though it would be nice and rewarding to create works regularly, I've found that sooner or later the deadline creeps up and the writer scrambles and either rushes through a part that should have been done a bit slower; or even omits entire scenes that aren't crucial to the story that would have otherwise been a most welcomed part of the whole.  If you have no one paying you for your time, use it as you see fit to make the best tale you can for your and everyone's enjoyment.  :3

I could give you like, the biggest hug ever right now. I knew I shouldn't flip, but I couldn't stop! [>_<] Thankfully my deadlines feels realistic at the moment since I can't stop writing, but I'll keep your words in mind. Having work suffer for a deadline isn't worth it. I think my only other issue at the moment is my lack of painty-drawy-arty skills.

Don't let your self described "lack of painty-drawy-arty skills" drag you down.  When I try to draw a circle it ends up looking like a cow, complete with splotches and everything, but to me that's not an issue.  So I can't draw, not everyone can, focus on the things you can do well and you'll be happier in the long run.  The talented artists here on IB can draw more than well enough for the both of us.

i'm deffinitly going to recommend you, your writing is the right mix of smut and story, and i find it sad you dont have more readers. inkbunny isnt really the place for writers, most people just come here for art or they came from FA for cub porn, (never mind that thats my reason for being here >.>) so i say chin up and truck on, i cant wait to read more.

Writing always has it hard in the furry community. Visual art, which I love doing, can be like burgers and fries. Writing is alike a fine meal. You have to sit down and savor it, enjoy the characters, settings, and situations. I'm sure that if you keep it up people will come to see your work. Just keep at it! Don't stop because you're not getting the views you want now.
