Throughout the many years in the furry fandom, there are a few things that I have learned. First off, drama is going to strike anywhere and any time no matter what. Weather it's a rant against someone, a "Furries do this!" video on YouTube, or a wild stunt during a meet or convention. It's bound to happen. And for dealing with it for so long, one tends to get use to it, predict it, handle the situations in a mature respectable manner or just ignore it completely.
Secondly, in order to be quote "open-minded," one must understand the strengths and "weaknesses" of said fandom. The reason why I put weakness in quotes is because there are some things in the fandom that will make make you turn away in disgust, facepalm, or straight out attack without thinking. But that in term negates the "open-minded" concept. That being said, such "weaknesses" include Babyfurs, Cubs, Zoofurs, porn artwork of any sort, and the main topic-Murrsuits.
Now for me, I understand these things, the background behind it all, the reasoning, and to be honest I want to actually try some of these things. (Though being tentacle raped and eaten are unlikely IRL) But to play in suit is something I want to try out recently. "But why should you mention this in a public journal" you may ask? Because I'm tired of trying to hide something that I want to do. "Breaking the Ice" as it were. At the same time I want my new Frostcat suit to look like my revamped picture. Tuxedo cat, black hair with blue tips, icy blue UV claws.
The only problem I face are the makers themselves. They tend to have this tendency to treat the terms "Murr suit" or "Yiff suit" like it's a horrible 9/11 joke. The only thing that bugs me more is for them not admitting it. There are other makers that simple turn tail and run with the money they put in. Then there are those that can make something so unique that other fans will flock to, but cock-blocks them in the very end. Three great names, did those things. But I still have the absolute respect not to release their names. I'm not one to ruin their reputations and sadly they fail to realize that as well.
Now I'm jumping from site to site to see who can do certain features to my suit, but the main issue is my head. Seems that black hair with blue tips are a pain to find or make. I can get the UV claws for the paws and feet. But it's the deal of the suit itself and the maker of the head. Will they give the respect of the user playing around in suit or turn away in disgust? Let hope when I ask them about it they can at least answer.
