Hello again!
First off, we apologize for the period of silence. We have been extremely busy since FC, and have had a gamut of things happen, including two personnel moves, illness, technical issues and other things. Let's get everyone up to speed on what's going on:
We were aiming for a Further Confusion 2011 launch window, but complications arose and were unable to have the site ready at that time. Sorry for the wait, but we don't want to rush something to launch unless we are certain it meets our quality standards.
The site and art team are ready to go, but we have to get some final agreements settled with merchant providers. We want to have several means for people to use merchants they are comfortable and familiar with. The more options the better!
There have also been a number of people attempting to compromise the site security since our official announcement. While none have been successful, we are exploring additional security features to ensure our site and its customers are safe and secure.
Additionally, we are setting up a Newsfeed so that anyone can see the updates on a more frequent basis.
Regarding convention appearances, we have some announcements as well:
Due to our extremely busy schedules since FC, we have not had a chance to prep material for Anthrocon yet. Because of this, we will not be attending AC 2011. We want to make our first Anthrocon a great one, and the more time we have to prep, the more impressive a publication (or more) we can put out.
However, we will be making an appearance at Eurofurence 17, later this year. Kadath, Raziel and Ultraviolet will all be attending. We have something special planned that goes along with the convention's theme, so if you intend to go, look for them in the dealer's room and say hi!
Overall, some plans had to change, and the schedule is a bit different, but everything is still moving forward and we are making sure we have more options and tighter security for our patrons. Our aim is quality, and hopefully you will see that once the site is open :3
