I have a viola the bigger version of the violin and I had the same problem a few years back. it could be two things one you didn't put rosen on the bow or the strings are to tight if this still doesn't work take it to an export they'll tell you what's wrong.

thanks for the info. I know that the strings are ok because I have a tuner and tuned them all right. and I'm posative it has enough rosen on the bow. I think I'll have to take it to a profetional.
