I was VERY fortunate with my income tax return, so I ended up with some luxury cash. I used some of it to get a new headset (my previous one died literally two days before) with some legit gaming quality Steel Series ones.
AND :3
I also FINALLY picked up a capture box: the Hauppage HD PVR2 Gaming Edition. I've spent about one minute tinkering with the inputs to be sure I can capture PS2 and Wii gameplay also, and pretty much immediately got it working. In other words, it's WAY easier to use than the vanilla Hauppage box I had used previously was.
So yay console streams in the future! :3
I'm going to finish the Cave Story stream soon, maybe this weekend, and I think my first console game stream will be Shadow of the Colossus (assuming my PS2 will cooperate). I've never played it before, and I think it'd be fun to play something with you guys that I've never even laid eyes on before.
So, keep your peepers pointed this way. Streams ahoy!
Yay! Hopefully I'll be around to watch them. Which is one of the benefits of let's plays on YouTube, they're still there for people to watch, instead of being live. But as I said, I look forward to seeing all upcoming videos. Σ=3

The Hauppauge box is, in my opinion, really quite overpriced if you're only recording Composite video. It also got poor reviews on Amazon. I own this thing. It's a hundred bucks cheaper and works just as well for recording video from a PS2 while playing it live. The last time I used it, I didn't have any latency issues with the stock software, either. The only limitation here is that you will have to use your computer screen instead of your TV screen to see what's going on, seeing that it has no Composite video outputs. The Amazon product listing also says the input cable you need is optional, so you'd probably have to get that yourself. The stick I bought was the same model, but had it included, so I dunno. If you're planning to record something in full HD, though, then obviously, this thing's no choice.

I'm going to be doing HDMI from my 360, also :3 I did some research before hand, but thanks for the advice! I always appreciate helpful pointers.
Part of my reason for this item was that it does pass-through video, so I can still play on my TV without having a zillion cables going everywhere. My TV doesn't have a video out, which is why the pass-through is so handy (and the cheaper Hauppage box I used before did not accommodate).
