In coming Snow Storm

Apparently my area is about to get WRACKED by a huge fucking snow storm that may or may not dump a foot of snow on the ground.

So, if I'm not around for a while, it's because I couldn't travel to get into town to my wifi hotspots (No internet at the house, yet. Sigh.)

But I promise to come back as soon as travel is safe (And I don't have to walk in the damn snow. It's hell on my knee.)

ANY-HOODLY-DOODLES

If you want a cheap commission, my doors are always open. You can find my commission pricing table on my profile.

Though my prices might go up about two bucks in the future. Not much, I promise. Still cheap. ;D So get them while they're still low! XD

As always.

Hope its just a foot, the other year me Dad got hit by 2 foot one week, then deep freeze, then another foot on top of that. He lives in a large flat area of the country with drainage ditches along the roads and no barriers. One village in the area was cut off for 2 weeks. How the hell that happned I have no idea, given the UK had the biggest bloody cargo carrying hovercraft on the planet, and the Coastguard and Firebrigade have some on the coast.

Frankly, I dont think some of these guys know how to use resources or plan for things. I mean, lots of trees, lots of rain, lets cut drain clearing resources, then wonder why so many houses get flooded.

Keep yerhead down, keep a weeks supply of dried food in store, purchase camping gear while its cheap for when you lose all power, In extremis you can get a portable generator that will run a lot of gear, as long as you remember to keep it outside so the exhaust dont kill you.

If it makes you feel beter, where I live, there is a book showing its history, and back in the 1950s, there was snow so deep the trains got buried and people walked along following the tops of the telephone poles. Sort of like that place in Japan.

This year we only got 6 inch or so, enough when digging off the path that I filled the border up to the height of the fence.

I still need to design and build that propane powered snow sucker snowball cannon I keep thinking of doing for the last 20 years 8(

Take it easy. 8}

Winter before last we had a storm that dumped about five feet. About three feet once, then it cleared away mostly, and then another two and a half feet a month later. It was pretty intense.

Eeek, stay warm and safe.  It looks like this storm is going to miss us, after we got hammered by the one last Tuesday and the Thursday before, I can't decide if I'm happy to miss this one or not XD

I used to like snow when it got me out of school.

Now it just ruins my plans.

Thankfully, I have a really nice heater that works well with my smaller room.

Just checked out the radar, and its coming..  slowly.

Glad I got the day off.  :D
