Comparing our Prices

Sorry, I should have included this in the last announcement. Just been discussing this with some of you in the last few minutes!

Our prices compare very well to other Print sales sites like RedBubble.com.

For example, our biggest print size 24" x 36" is $18.00 before your markup is added.

On RedBubble.com the same size is $33.25 before markup.

A 8.5" x 11" print on Inkbunny starts at $4.20. On RedBubble it's $23.75. Ouch!

Our shipping is also cheaper than RebBubble within the US.

And this is all after the 10% increase. We'll do even cheaper as we get more sales and drop the margins.

For comparison, our current Print base prices are:

5.5" x 8.5"   $2.10US
8.5" x 11" $4.20US
18" x 24" $12.00US
24" x 36"   $18.00US

Does anyone have a DeviantArt account? Can you compare their prices to ours? I can only see the retail prices in the store (so of course we look cheaper based on that). I don't know what the artist's profit margin is. Anyone know how much you make per print sale on DA? Can you change it per print?

Anyone know how our prices compare to Kinkos/Fedex or similar? Their website is a MAZE designed to disillusion and confound. But I'm pretty sure they're fairly expensive.

Hmm.. is it possible for someone to upload something that they didn't make, keep it hidden, and order prints for themselves? So they're not making any money off of it, it's for personal use only, and no one else on the site can even see it. *curious*

Actually.. yes.. I hadn't thought of that. But there's nothing stopping you from buying a hidden print that you uploaded yourself.

Of course it still has to conform to the site rules! But it would be a way for artists to get stuff printed directly but without offering the print for sale to anyone else.

Well you could very well advertise that so people will order more prints. They get a quality print, the site makes some monies. =3
