This may be useful for anyone developing apps that track a user's watched artists. Note that you can already track a logged in user's favorites using the API Search interface.
Here at Inkbunny we love apps! Apps of every kind are welcome to access our site, even downloader apps! Apps (either stand alone or browser plugins) are a fantastic way for the coders in the community to add additional functionality to Inkbunny that is useful to its members. If you have apps in development, please feel free to talk to us directly about them so we can help you where possible!
We adjust our server configuration and capabilities to accommodate apps wherever possible. If we find apps are using large amounts of resources, we look at ways to improve our ability to serve that app's needs and we contact the app writer to see if we can advise them how to make the app more efficient to achieve their goals.
Please remember that where possible your app should use the API to access Inkbunny, rather than the standard HTML UI. Be careful that you don't open too many concurrent connections (8 or less is considered polite) and please try to make your app efficient (such as detecting files already downloaded so you don't get the same ones over and over, and limiting number of requests per second, etc).
This way we'll be happy to keep supporting apps into the future!
Still no interface to mark an image in the users watchlist as viewed/deleted/whatever it's called? I'd really, really love that feature. It's the only thing holding back my app. :P
