NAIAS '13 & Monitor Failures

by
Woo~  So i just got back from the North American International Auto Show for this year and it was quite the trip. A double whammy for me as a design student~

I was especially impressed with the Lincoln display, as they decided to literally revolve their display around not only their vehicles (Which i love and prefer, by the way. Someone once called me an old man for it ;_;) but also the art and creations of some of their own designers. An art exhibition + car show is a great idea!--Everything was! my notebook is just, absolutely full of ideas!

AAAAAAA~!

So I came home to sit down and do some inspiration doodles from all of the wholesome successful design goodness aand.... my monitor flipped. It took me almost an hour before it would even display anything beyond a white screen, and when i turned off my computer the monitor continued to flicker back on. It was actually refusing to shut off.

I swear, if it's not one thing it's another...

I'll do some testing and swap out my current monitor with another working one to check and make sure it's not my videocard having spazz problems (which is still under EVGA warranty, so i'm not all too worried if my 560 random-dies on me), but I do need a new monitor anyhow... So I'll be purchasing one next weekend. All the while, I'll be doing all of my doodling in my actual newsprint books and praying that it'll hold together long enough to do research for class at home over the week.

Gonna make a pau-way!

awwwww the auto show must have been amazing, even the little snippets i've been seeing from Engadget and The Verge have been amazing!! my secret love is the NSX >.>

i love the new display styles that are coming out, i hadn't seen the Lincoln one but i will look it up!

monitor issues suck :( hard to diagnose and never like to be spendy with a new monitor, but i do hope it all works out amazingly!
