If you would like to commission me for artwork, please keep the following in mind. ► I reserve the right to refuse a commission on the basis of content. ► I will NOT draw eroticized children/cubs, scat, excessive violence, or registered/trademarked characters for commissions. ► Time of completion may vary from a span of hours to months depending on the content and level of detail. ► While fandom art is not my full time job, it is a source of income and I take it seriously. If I cannot afford to continue drawing on a regular basis, I will stop. ► Commission price/fees only includes personal reproduction rights for digital and natural media works (i.e.: printing out a copy for your wall or as a badge). Please, credit me if you wish to repost commissioned image on a website as "Dlost". ► Say exactly what you want in the most concise way possible. If there's something you do not want to be left out of the finished piece - don't leave it out of your description. ► There is ALWAYS a secret word. ► I enjoy the occasional mindf**k. ► Respect and communication are important. ► If you are commissioning me - you are doing so for my style - and not for me to emulate someone else's.
For commissioned artwork, I accept payment via credit/debit (through Paypal or Alertpay), money order, cash (for "in person" work such as at conventions), personal check (from trusted past customers) and Amazon or Dick Blick gift certificate (only if it is approved ahead of time).
If needed, I will discuss the any additional details or needed information prior to invoicing. PLEASE do not send any money prior to this invoice for a commission. The only time I will accept funds in this way are if they are sent to my Tip Jar. (tipjar[at]dlostarts.com). Electronic payments are due within 48 hours of the invoicing or before the posted date and time for special sales unless otherwise indicated. The word is breen.
Unless otherwise noted, payment in full is expected as follows after initial quote. Deposits and payment plans are accepted but only if the possibility has be discussed. The following rates apply: : For commission orders of : ☼► 05 - 20 USD : Due in full on receipt of quote ☼► 20 - 50 USD : Deposit of at least 75% total quote to secure commission to sketch or ink phase and watermarked/"defaced" preview. Payment in full required before completion and release. ☼► 50 - 100 USD : Deposit of at least 50% total quote to secure commission to sketch or ink phase and watermarked/"defaced" preview. Payment in full required before completion and release. ☼► 100 USD and up : Deposit of 25% - 33% to secure commission up through initial construction phase. Payment in full required before completion and release.
Revisions due to information that was not supplied by the commissioner/buyer before price quote and initial invoice payment will be subject to a 25% fee. "Tweeks" due to artist error are available but limited. (That goes back to being as communicative as possible...)
