Tablets!  I wish i could afford....

by
So...  as of this morning my 3 year old Wacom tablet has died....  I was rather surprised that the thing lasted so long actually.  bought it used off of eBay for less than half of face value.  i still have mt TC4400 so i can still play around a bit but am now going to have to start saving up for a new one.

While browsing Wacom's site (looking at what i want but cant afford) i stumbled upon this:  http://www.wacom.com/products/pen-displays/cintiq/cint...
I have only seen a few of their Cintiq tablets.  was wondering if anyone had experience with this one or its sibling (the non touch version).  i know it is a million times more tablet than i need.  ^_^  but so was my first 1Tb hard drive when i got it.  i now have 10 of them and 8 of them are full...

Also is there any stores or the like where people can try them before buying it?  Call me crazy but before i even consider spending nearly $4000 on a new tablet (if i ever manage to save that much) i would want to try it before i buy it.

Thoughts? opinions?

I've used some different cintiqs over the years, they're useful, but not a deal-breaker. I'd stick with a normal tablet for now

I plan on it, already ordered another bamboo for now.  i think im gonna save up for one of these tho.  prolly will never buy this exact model but i think i would like something along this line.  out of the different ones you have used did any of them preform better or offer unique features?

I know in the end i will be buying one of their cintiq tablets.  mainly cuz i love how my tablet pc's screen looks, works and feels.  just wish it worked with windows 7X64.  i rely like the idea of this one but more research is needed on this before a sound decision is made.

I've heard Yiynova has a 10" pad with a screen for ~$300 if you really wanted to go that route.  I've heard a couple of good things about them.

I've also heard a number of really great reviews on a 10x6 tablet for ~$50 at Monoprice

I will definetly look into those.  I have limited experience with non-wacom tablets.  have yet to find one i truly like.  Thanks!
