I'm actually pretty curious to see what people have to say on this. How about some year end, what-can-I-do-better comments to start fresh for 2013, hm?

You have a really unique style that I love but by being the art chameleon you are I can't help but see other people's work influence you often.  Which is really good, but I think you are still finding your style.

Consistency- 3
I have to give you a 3 here.  You always produce a quality picture, but the gap between your best work and your worst work is still really wide.  I don't like to say your "worst" because it's ALL good, but there has to be a comparative bottom.  When I look at a person's gallery considering a commission I try to take a median value of their work and say to myself, "Okay this piece is awesome, and this one is so-so, so my commission can be anywhere between the two."  Your lowest denominator is still wonderfully enchanting, but when you really dial it in you do some astounding work.

Variety- 5
You are constantly evolving, constantly trying out new techniques, constantly imitating other's styles to really give yourself a fluid talent.  You experiment with new colours, colouring techniques, different themes and subjects, it's wonderful.  If I admire one thing about your art, it is this.  I never know what you are going to do next, and it's amazing.

Colouring - 5
You are a f***ing copics genius.  A prodigy.  I wish I could remember who does that boyslove in copics.  She is your peak, and you are steadily approaching it.  I want to see you do more in it, but cost and time I think unfortunately will be the ice and snow on your copic mountain climb.  I would like to see you do more digital colouring when you can but you know what +2!!!!

YOU ARE A F***ING COPICS GENIUS

I hate hate to down rate rate but I know you want me to be as sharp as I can be (even with no artistic background/understanding).  From my perspective some of your sketches look really rigid.  Your anatomy seems sound, but it feels like it doesn't flow right.  I'll back and forth with you in real time chat some time about this so I can pinpoint what it is exactly I'm feeling but sometimes I look at a piece of yours and I feel it's stiff.  Happens almost always with a male.  If you want me to tell you where you do your sketches RIGHT, that is going to take me 70,000 more words so I'll just stick with what little I find wrong.

Overall - 6
You are an exceptional artist.  You do fan art, you do pinups, you do porn, you do fantasy, you do themes, you do memes, you do everything in between.  You are an amazing artist, and more than anything you REPRESENT what art SHOULD BE.  You're not a one trick pony, you're not just in it for the money.  You are a passionate, creative, expressive, exploring little panda who is as humble as she is talented.  You are always willing to take a criticism, and you are always willing to fix it.  You are constantly looking for new styles and challenges without anyone asking or telling you to.  You LOVE art, the very idea of it as well as the practice, and I take immense pride in showing people the things your work.

And if you want, throw in your favorite picture in my gallery (if any):
Fave for making me tingly and warm - https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=155300
Fave for the gorgeous line work and expressions - https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=203392
Fave for uniqueness - https://inkbunny.net/submissionview.php?id=277042

2013 should see more Hannah Rae type things.  More theme pictures or experiments that express an idea or do something creative or unique all out of your own willingness to explore art.  When you let your creativity take you on a magic art voyage you always come back with a gorgeous souvenir.

First off I'm not going to be using a number system.  Don't like them.

Style and Consistency - Very good.  I like how you're able to adapt your cute style to certain pieces and do so consistently.

Variety - Good enough variety, in my opinion.

Coloring - Great, borderline excellent.

Line work - Excellent; in fact, I used one of your lined pieces as an example of how I would like to be able to line.  Sketches - Nice and clean.

Finished Product - Great.

Overall - I believe that while your work is consistent piece to piece, what you aren't consistent with is how often you complete pieces.
If you would like to strive to be better in the new year, I would suggest it be frequency of new work.  Other improvements will come with practice.
I wish I could offer a more thorough grilling, but my eyes are not trained to spot flaws in hand drawn artwork like a professional artist or art teacher would be.

And if you want, throw in your favorite picture in my gallery (if any): Outside of the entirety of Twincest,
Break Time by Malachyte
is one;
First Art Card by Malachyte
is another;
Sibling ATCs by Malachyte
is a third.  They aren't necessarily "favorites", but they are ones I like for various reasons, not necessarily the art itself.

What would you like to see new for 2013?  Something along the lines of Twincest, though not necessarily a sequel of that comic, but a teenage or young adult incestual relationship in the same vein as Twincest.  Could be F/F, M/M, M/F or some other type of relationship like cuntboy/male.

First I'd like to say that numerical rating systems are a bit... unfair. If we do this for you, and then again for, let's say... Liontaro or Ketzio... The numbers are going to be different, but for entirely different reasons. Yet, at the same time, if someone gives you a 4 for coloring, but Ketzio a 5, does that mean that it's for the digital coloring style? Or are they comparing your copics to her digital? Or everything in between. It's just... I don't know... It's too opinion based to be a quantified rating of someone's talent. Anywho! Enough ramblin, on to the scores!

~

Style - 4 - The only reason I haven't given this a 5, is because as someone else has already said, you're still finding different ways to improve and adapt to a growing fan-base. You're a chameleon, yes, but the end result is something unique and fun that the fanbase doesn't really have (form what I've seen anyway) outside of your work! That's a pretty impressive thing in my opinion.

Consistency - 4 - I'm giving this a four, though I consistently enjoy everything you post (zing! Word play!), and because I'm seeing consistent improvement in just about everything you do. I haven't seen anything that, in terms of quality or style, is lesser than anything you've posted before. It's fairly impressive. However your own personal consistency can use some work, in terms of speed and product delivery. I'm not saying this about my own Commissions. They were done quickly and marvelously, and I couldn't be happier with them! I understand that life and whatnot can get in the way, too, so I don't want to sound like I'm criticizing or blaming or anything like that. I just think at times you've taken on a bit more than you were prepared for.

Variety - 3 - While you do try a lot of new things, creative backgrounds, commission content, self-portraits and such... I would very much like to see more! I suppose this rating is less based on your actual variety, and more on my own desire to see more work from you this year.

Coloring - 6 (out of 5!) - I can't even give words. I'm basing this rating mostly on your work with copics themselves, since I believe that's the core of your coloring style. Your digital work is pretty damn good too, and hasn't yet proven to look off, or odd, or bad in any way that I can find. I'm just a fan, and not an artist myself, so I may be a little off on my judgement of such things, but hey... It's half about personal expression, and half about how you inspire the viewers with your work, right? Am I wrong? >.>

Line work / Sketches - 4 - I'll always be a hardcore fan of your work with traditional media. Your copics... there aren't even words for how giddy I am when I see another piece like that pop up in your gallery. Because of this, I think most of your details come from the copics and colorings themselves. The line work feels more like a stepping stone, rather than the "colorless" version of your work like some other artists...

Finsihed product / Overall - 5 - I don't really have a paragraph to say about this rating. I've never been disapointed with anything you've posted, and as an artist you seem to be improving so steadily that I can't give this anything but a perfect score.

It's also impossible for me to pick a single favorite picture in your gallery. I like so many of them, but... if I could change the wording a litte: "Throw in your favorite Gallery in Inkbunny: Spix"

For the new year... looking forward to more work from you, no matter the source, or inspiration, or content!
