Sucks getting older.

First it was high blood pressure, now I find out I have high cholesterol. The only good news is my heart is okay. The EF (Ejection Fraction) 40 was a false reading.

Curious if anyone is taking meds for high cholesterol and how it is. My LDL is high. The high blood pressure meds messed my stomach up badly for a week but I am okay with it now. I am someone who doesn't like taking meds but if I have to then I have to.

I was in the hospital for a week last month. I had a very bad case of bronchitis. My blood pressure was dangerously high. I had lung inflammation and bad asthma flare ups as well. I went to the hospital. For a long time I wasn't going to the doctors but now I am taking care of myself. The hospital doctors said my heart was weak (EF40 , had to google it to find out what that means) but thankfully was a false positive. Some good news for once. I did EKG, stress test, echocardiogram and a heart catheterization in the hospital. All clear. I didn't mind the hospital other than being lonely, my parents couldn't stay with me all the time. That and I could not sleep. It was way too noisy and nurses bother you every few hours to check vitals. The food was mediocre, breakfast was decent though. I did lose 15 pounds and I still need to lose more. It was a wake up call to get proper medicated and do better. After the hospital, I had a blood test and found out I also have high cholesterol. I don't even eat much junk food but I do eat a lot of red meat so that's probably why. So yay diet and more meds coming! Sadly I am not getting any younger.
