bruh

ffs more things going wrong

something in my computer stopped working. ive been having some trouble getting it to post when i power up, but now its wont post at all

ASRock A620I Lightning Wifi
Ryzen 5 7600x
T-Create 32gb DDR5
(i bought everything before they became expensive)

its gotta be one of these that stopped working
(i tested my gpu and psu they are working fine on my other computers)
i just dont have way for me to test my motherboard's parts :/

its not gonna effect comms since i have a separate pc i use for that (a cheap little workstation that can barely run Clip Studio since i gave up trying to use it on Linux)
just sucks that my main computer broke :(

I feel that. last time i powered up my computer, the motherboard started smoking and now it doesn't work anymore. i have my crappy little "laptop" that's missing it's screen, has to be hooked up to a TV via HDMI, and i have to use an external mouse and keyboard as well otherwise the cables might come loose and either stop it from charging, disconnect from the television, or unplug my external hard drive while i'm using it. it has all my important projects and stuff on it and i'm scared to try transferring any of it </3
even the original Doom lags on that thing. I wish i was joking.

anyway,
hugg(if you're comfortable with that)
and may things run better soon

Most if not all motherboards should have diagnostic LEDs to tell you whats up. Probably gonna depend specifically on the motherboard but it should be enough to determine if it's the motherboard, cpu or ram.

Most of the time when it does that, on of the sticks of ram might have failed. Pull one of the sticks and try to get it to boot. If that fails, switch ram sticks around to see if that will get it. You can also try a bios reset. Most have a battery you can pop out, short the "clear bios" pins for about 10 seconds, put the battery back in. If that isn't an option,  you can power on and off the pc 3 times quickly. Like press to power on then immediately press and hold the power button to turn it off. Do that 3 times. Hopefully this could be helpful. I super hope its not one of the ram sticks.

First clear your CMOS just in case that's causing it.

Next check your error log to see if there's any hardware failure and report back.

Your board has USB flashback, so you can reflash BIOS to quickly rule that out anyway. I had an ass rock stop posting when I swapped RAM once, even when going back to original sticks, and clear jumper did nothing but flashback made it spring back to life.

Have you checked the BIOS battery? (A button cell battery somewhere on the board)

Bad or dying or dead power supply I'm thinking.

If you have another one around you could test with, try that.

Also don't forget that DDR5 can have very long memory training times upon first/fresh boot.
If you haven't already tried taking sticks out / single stick at a time, that would be another thing to easily test/try.
