I’ve been given heads up that Substar is changing it’s ToS in a very unfavorable way to me and my content (as well as many others’). I’ll be keeping an eye out because just yesterday it seemed that they’re banning all anthro stuff, today it’s saying something else again, who knows what might happen tomorrow. My posts are passing the reviews so far but there’s a chance they might not in the near future, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Just wanted to make this post to say thank you to all of my current subscribers and let’s hope I don’t get banned! 😂

Yeah I worry about that too.. Only alternatives I can even think of is fanbox, which is under Japanese cencorship laws, or boosty or something like that which is Russian and a bit of a hurdle for people to subscribe through :/

It's weird, I've seen screenshots of a policy that's way more restrictive, time-stamped 10th of March. I can't find it anywhere on Substar though, and the time-stamp on the site you linked says 11th of March. It seems like they might have taken it back, for now at least. Substar is just a dumpster fire communication-wise... In any way, cub is now definitely banned :/

The plot thickens. There are now an option of tokens, though if I am reading it right you can still use direct credit card payment. The argument is that more payment providers can be used, including paypal, to pay for these tokens, which are then used to pay content creators
But it just seems odd to be implemented without any heads-up messages or anything, just suddenly "BOOM Tokens!!!"
And I am super confused, because those token things, aren't they like what people pay camgirls with on streaming sites or something?`

But one subscriber gave me an idea how to circumvent everything today- just upload a preview of whatever it was you were going to post and then send the actual post (maybe a link to it) through DMs to your subscribers. It’s additional work but it might just do the trick?
