First off, I want to apologize for slowing down with art after completing my comic, April Showers. I decided to take a short break to recover, during which several new ideas for comics and art sprang to mind. I've been working on the pre production side of those; writing, character design, etc. Unfortunately, I've just recently been voluntold by my work that they are moving me from five 8 hour day shifts, to four 10s and a 6 on nights. I've just had to flip my sleep schedule completely on very short notice, and as someone with a lot of sleep issues, this has left me very exhausted. I've only just started the new schedule, so I don't know for sure how it's going to go in the long term, but I suspect it will affect how much and how quickly I can complete art.
On top of that, it's been determined that my dog's new allergy medication isn't working. I have no choice but to switch back to her old, more expensive meds. With the loading dose, the first month is over $300. Furthermore, my computer has been crashing more and more lately. I finally figured out that it was my RAM, which was barely clinging to life. Thanks to recent developments in the memory industry, replacing it was very painful for my finances, to say nothing of my dog's meds. I was finally making some slow progress in climbing my way out of debt, but this has pretty much knocked me right back down to where I started.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still here. I have a long list of planned art and comics I want to create. It just might take me longer to progress. Thank you to everyone who follows and enjoys my work, and an especially big thanks to those who have donated/tipped to help keep me going. Such help has had a big impact on my situation, and I can never thank enough for that.
Tips/donations go towards covering the growing vet bills for my German Shepherd's severe allergies. Thank you!
