Arting Blabs

by
I will be getting to the art soon again guys. I'm trying to hone my rendering. Also a question! Does anyone else have nervousness about contacting an artist?

Like if you never got a response from your inspiration, or someone you just like their works. Or when you used to be able to chat easily and it becomes slower to get any response. Eeeep I am feeling that kind of nerves in my mind, I feel so nervous I'm annoying and never mean to prod for responses. At the end of the day, if I've reached out in the past, I'm all for sharing art progresses chats on what you like to try and feel free to reach out to me it would be really appreciated ^^

I got so nervous even starting art and probably reached out too early. I feel like that's a thing to consider now. But overall it's worth trying. I'm even happy with a little chat or message to feel like I'm not floating in space. So I appreciate you relating on this. It's like everyone is so busy it gets tough to find others.

yea if you don't try and reach out you end up regretting it even short bonds can be worth it nothing ya do is a waste and yea glad i can give ya some comfort with me relating to ya on this and so true I wish I could do better with keeping in contact with friends but it's hard time moves forward even if we don't want it too sometimes, at the end of the day if someone doesn't contact me and i want to chat i will at least try giving them a message cause all i can do is try

True I'll appreciate the chances with people who are chill and easy to chat over the art, which are cool moments of their own. And especially appreciate getting to check in on each others who are closer. I think maybe it's a big commitment for those with their own communities and work going on. Gonna keep trying to keep up with those who've been nice to me.

yeah it's easy to lose touch with people sometimes, it's one reason i run games like gartic phone so i have an excuse to contact my artist friends! ha ha

True, I really appreciate the art friends so when I don't hear from some time I find myself just wanting to know if they're alright, but not to be annoying by asking lol. I also try to show support on update posts if they do those.

Oh yeah I see those gartic phone streams, and I only managed to check a few as they are past midnights here aha. That's a cool activity to bring friends together. I'm impressed sometimes honestly at some of those drawings ideas and I'm so fish out of water in group. I bet it's really nice when you all have a shared history that's awesome and it does look really fun!

I get nervous too, the language is still a big barrier.
I'm afraid of being misunderstood, and I tend to be extremely direct to avoid that, even when I think it might be taken as ignorance or something similar.
Well, about responding: sometimes there isn't much to say, I'd just like to be able to like the comment, like on X, so that at least the person who commented knows that I read their comment.
Sometimes I watch streams/videos by other artists, although I hardly ever manage to learn anything from them. At least it makes me want to draw more.

I think your English is definitely great and you're able to communicate things that would be so difficult for me in my second language. I must give you credit and I think you're already in a place where you can try to express yourself how you are and if you want to you can say you're learning English and it should be understandable. Perhaps you can use DeepL it you want to verify how it sounds in your own language. If you ever want to speak casually or ask how to say things you can try with me and I will be happy to help for anything you're unsure about.

I think liking comments is perfectly good practice, it's pretty common to see on social media. The nature of interactions on social media is really brief in general, and it moves fast. Now being an artist I haven taken a lot of breaks from there. Live streams are quite good inspiration and interesting, but I agree it's hard to follow and if I streamed my process would look so messy. and I should check them out again. I was able to asked some small questions on livestreams so you could consider that if you're curious. I have the motivation to draw but I guess things are changing around me a lot recently, and I'm sort of waiting for it to settle before I commit more to it. It's good to hear from you! If you ever want to chat on anything at all I'm always up for dm.

Your innocence is truly surprising. But, to tell you the truth, I can understand and respond to simple things. However, to write texts like these, I need to use a translator. In fact, it's the same one you recommended.
I even try to write a good text, even in my main language, before translating it. Sometimes I rewrite it completely or just change individual words. In the worst cases, I leave it for later. This response is a good example of that.
That aside, I hope your situation stabilizes soon. Although I don't know what you're going through, and it's okay to feel that way, I'm sure it will be temporary. Good luck!

I've heard something like chatgpt could offer translations too, I don't use it myself, but I wonder if those could be better at certain times because you can describe your intention. Thank you, I guess I'm just really sensitive to uncertainty in everyday things that most people don't think about. I always had high anxiety for any changes to my circumstance. But I found some new confidence recently to pursue art more at least. Thanks for the encouragement man and I look forward to seeing/hearing more from you!

I used it once, but I was disappointed. He just ran my text through an online translator and sent it back to me. I could ask him to make some changes, but if that’s all it takes, I’ll just do it myself.
For now, I've chosen to write and translate paragraph by paragraph, and only check for coherence at the end. I'm also using more than one translator and checking how each one performs. It's not perfect, but it's close.

Off-topic: I recently lost my internal hard drive, and with it went many of my current projects. And one of them, which I forgot to mention in my journal, involved your OC.
It wasn't anything very big, it was just reference material of your character, drawn from the front and back, without color and anthropomorphic.
I haven't decided yet what to do—whether to wait or start over from scratch.

Well, if you need anything, send me a private message.
