So the other day I was working on a Cunny Page and the barrel button of the pen on my Wacom tablet (PTK-640) fell off. I snapped it back in, but it wouldn't work right, doing all sorts of random things. I pulled the whole thing apart and some itty bitty metal components fell off the circuit board. I have no clue where they go, but I assume they were part of the switches for the barrel button that fell apart and were rolling around in there closing random circuits and making everything wonky. So I left them out and put the whole thing back together to see what happens. Good news is the pen tip and eraser tips still work, but the barrel button is completely fragged. I can get by without that feature if I have to, but considering it's starting to fall to pieces, I should really look into a replacement. Now I could buy a new pen from Wacom, but that's 80 to 100 bucks, and I'll be using a 15-year-old out-of-production tablet that I never fell in love with in the first place with a new pen that might not happily sync with it. For that kind of scratch, I could buy a whole new setup from a cheaper company.
There are some SUPER cheap graphics tablets on Temu, but I don't know what you can expect for 20 bucks. I suppose I could always buy the one closest to what I want with the highest stars and hope for the best.
Anybody got any suggestions on a halfway good tablet for under 100? Something with a similar workspace (9x6 inch) that I'm used to? I don't need anything with a screen or anything.
