Aesthetic Guidelines for YCH-Projects

So, while I am working a full-time job, not open for commissions, I may try a new "YCH"-format, so people can still participate, while I'm drawing things I'd be drawing anyway. Plenty of my projects don't care about what characters I use, so I might as well let people pitch in.
There'll be less focus on making the slots "fair and balanced", regarding contents and price, and more focus on doing what I personally like. Since I have a steady income, I don't need slots to sell at any specific price, so it'll be an extraordinary circumstance of the starting bid being zero dollars.
I'll be doing this at least once. If it works, I'll do several.

The Limits:
- I will be posing some aesthetic constraints, to ensure that I personally like the result. One of the more difficult parts of trying to do commissions for a living has been compromising on aesthetic cohesion, breaking my immersion. This means I'll have the final say on allowed species, color schemes, and anatomical quirks. Yes, this is subjective and at times narrow-minded, but it is necessary for keeping the strain on my mental capacities low. See the restrictions below. They may be subject to change.
- If you submit a character deemed outside the boundaries, I may (1) request permission to adjust the design, (2) ask for a different character (we can improvise one together), or (3) pass the slot on to the next bidder.

The Upsides:
- You get your character featured in my art, despite me being a responsible adult with no spare time.
- It's potentially super cheap for you, depending on the demand.

Thank you for understanding, have a nice day. ❤

MEOWMERE'S AESTHETIC GUIDELINES

Rule of thumb: If the design is neutral enough for the character to be unintrusive in most settings, it's fine.

Allowed species:
- Land mammals without obtrusive facial features (e.g. elephants, rhinos, etc.)
- Avians with wings for arms, provided that the particular slot allows for it, logistically.
- Non-hybrids and naturally occuring hybrids (e.g. mules are alright, "fox-mice" are not)
- Species appropriate for the context, e.g. jackalopes or dragons in a fantasy setting.

Allowed colors (for projects in color):
- Colors that occur on animals in nature, in low-to-medium saturation.
- Highly saturated, unnatural colors in hair and eyes. (This means no neon genitalia and nipples, etc.)
- Highly saturated colors in the fur, provided that it's not in sharp contrast to other colors, and that I can adjust the saturation as needed (e.g. a wholly pink cat with belly-fade is allowed, a pink and green cat is not).

Disallowed design elements:
- More than one or two distinctly unique elements in the fur patterns (lightning bolts, hearts, etc.)
- Distracting fur patterns or excessively intricate tattoo designs
- Any oversized element
- Any setting-specific elements, outside of their appropriate context. E.g. robot limbs in medieval settings, tribal stretch-piercings on a housewife, etc.
- Anything other than males and females with conventional genitalia, with two exceptions: (1) Canine penises are allowed on canines. (2) Equine penises are mandatory on equines.

- I reserve the right to deem a feature "distracting", despite it not being listed here.

Exceptions may exist. Please contact me, if you are at all in doubt.
This is not to say that anything outside these boundaries isn't beautiful, it simply doesn't align with my current plans for my art.

- By stylistic choice, I do not draw paw pads on characters' hands
- I try to stay consistent in which species are drawn digitigrade vs. plantigrade. There is wiggle room, so if you care about the distinction, let me know.

Note my general "irks" below. They may be random, but they are mine and very real (from most to least egregious):
Over-dimensioned, obese, or over-designed characters, redundant anatomy (superfluous ears, multiple styles of mammary glands), body deformation, nipple penetration, hyper-detailed genitalia, prolapse, cuntboys, birth, menstruation, geriatrics, diapers, tailplugs, pancake nipples, pasties, and vibrators.
