I just remembered today is Saturday.
Holidays always throw things off, and this year was no exception. Happily, things are pulling themselves back together. Hunting for a job is starting to yield some promising results at least. I cannot begin to express how much I hate job hunting. It is the most godless, soul-crushing, tedious, futile exercise in dumb-assery I have ever had the misfortune of being compelled to compete in.
That aside, final polishing has finally started on the last of the seven part commission! It will be a serious weight lifted to have that finished.
With the end of such a large project drawing near, I’m left wondering what I’ll do next. I have some odds and ends I can work on, but no new commissions in the pipes. Looks like I’ll have to spend some time figuring out how to market my work.
Overall, I think I’m looking forward to the new year. There are definitely things that scare me going forward, and at least one thing I have no idea how I’ll face, but I’m confident everything will work out in the end.
