Happy New Year!

Nikki: hey, everyone! Hope you are all felling well. Balto and I had a fantastic christmas with our parents here in snowy Darwin's Hope. As in every year, we celebrated the day at my home, in the big living room with our nicely decorated christmas tree. Our moms really did a great job again. For dinner, we had roasted duck, cranberries, and potato dumplings after a recipe from Balto's german grandmother. So damn tasty.

Currently, we are sitting in our room at the spa, were we always celebrate new years. Later we will all be in the hot tub, a glas of champagne in hand, and enjoy a relaxing time together before the stress with work and college comes back.

In the name of all of us, I want to wish you all a happy and healthy year 2026, may it be a great one. Or at least better than 2025.

Dante 'Ey, Nikki! And h'lo to Balto, too! I know you're readin' this over 'er shoulder! I ain't got a lot of time t' spare at the moment, so I may as well jus' be quick 'bout things instead of tryin' to write a lot and sendin' off a whole bunch o' typos instead...

Miss you two. Like, a lot. Hopin' that we'll find a way to get back in touch soon. I often think 'bout how we met and where things went from there before life had to stick its nose into things and make us go our separate ways for a while. Always gives me the warm-fuzzies to see your updates pop up in my feed.

As for what you're doin' right now? Given what I know you can get up to with your families, I can only keep my fingers crossed that you're havin' the mother of all celebrations over there with them!

Wishin' you all a very happy 2026 as well.

Oh, hey there, Dante! Sorry for being so quiet. I have been extremely busy with college lately, the lectures there are pretty hard. We had such a nice time at the spa those last couple of days. Believe me, seeing Nikki wet and almost naked in the tub is the second best view someone can have. Of course, her being fully naked is the best *giggles*

Nikki: what are you two talking about, goggy? Oh, you naughty boys. So, Dante, what are your plans for the new year? My first objective is to finally finish college in summer. And then maybe make a travel to Europe with Balto. Maybe to Rome, or we go to Germany. We got many photos from Balto's grandma lately. Maybe we visit some castles. I could dress up like a princess for some cosplay photos that would be so nice.

Balto: I would love to see Venice, that would be cool. Or Bavaria. Or we could go to Vienna again. And as for the princess, I hope some badass warrior princess in cool armor, not those unsexy dresses we have seen in those documentaries..

Nikki: we will see. But for now, we should rejoin our parents downstairs. My grandparents will be here any minute

Dante: Glad to hear back from you two! Sounds like you're havin' just the right 'mount of fun with you and yours; glad to hear it! All those plans and dreams sound like they're just that, but if anyone's capable of makin 'em come true, it's you. As for mine? At the moment, my only resolution is to survive this year. Lots o' stuff goin' on that ain't of the goodly nature, y'know. Makes seein' the light really difficult somedays, even when the sun's out and there ain't a cloud t' be seen. I got people I care for tho', such as yourselves, that make it easier t' push back against the darkness and keep movin' forward. Actually, that right there's a goal I could strive for: findin' myself back in your company again.

Balto: We really had a good amount of fun and try to make the best out of everything life throws at us. I cannot wait until we can make meeting and movie nights at our cabin again.

Nikki: but before we do that, we will concentrate on college, doggy.
