2025
This year has been the worst year for ma art if I am gonna be honest.
Out of the years I have drawn full-time, this is the year I have drawn the least amount of drawings. And a lot of the art I have worked on is commission and YCH, stuff that isn't ma personal stuff. I haven't drawn much of my OCs or started anything big that I can look back to and feel proud of.
There are several factors, one of which is that I've taken on a side gig that takes up more of my time. Other is some personal stuff that has been poking at me at times, but I still have been quite lazy about drawing in general.
2026
So, what is next for 2026? I am going to do a few things differently, mainly I have gonna make a schedule for drawing and treat it more like a part of my daily life. I think I still have this mentality that drawing is a hobby and that needs to be removed if I want to not only improve my art quantity, but quality too.
What is it I want to do in 2026? There are a few things, or well, a lot of things, but some I put in the "I will do," and the rest is in the "hope I do."
I will do:
* A comic! If you have been around for a while, you might know that the plan was to make a comic in 2025, but that went nowhere. But this is where the drawing schedule should fix that. Not sure what the comic will be yet, but I will start small, so don't expect a giant comic with 100+ pages.
* Ref sheet for all my OCs. Also, a plan from this year I never got around to doing. (And once all OC sheets are finished, I'll decide who to sell and who to keep.)
* Get better with timeframes for commissions, I will make sure people do not wait for too long when they are on ma commission list and waiting for their slot to come up.
Hope I do:
* Start getting into animations again, I want to learn and create 2D animations, and hope to get to at least a few fully made loop animations next year.
* Having more art done for myself by the end of the year instead of commission and YCHS.
* Getting more into SFM and learn more about the software to make fun animations and such.
