Some of you might have noticed my 2017 or older artworks and comics are no longer available on my page here, on Inkbunny... That's because I've refreshed the gallery a bit and, possibly, they've been moved to my SubscribeStar page! In some cases, I've also posted an upgraded/updated version! You might wanna go there and take a good look: in fact, I think I've settled on what I want from that platform!
For the moment, you can find 3 different tiers:
- 3$ Tier: basic subscription, cub related artworks and doodles - 5$ Tier: all the above, plus some younger contents! 👀 - 10$ Tier: all the above, plus... my nudes! Yep, I'm leaning into my exhib side 😏

That is not a good decision, depriving people of your previous art and putting it behind a paywall. Even more so that you're hiding toddler stuff behind a higher paywall. This warrants a goodbye and encouragement of pirating of your previously available works on InkBunny. Especially since SubStar is not available around here.

Better than... what? I've been using Patreon and Substar for more than a year now... And I'm still keeping my artworks available for everyone on my pages, I'm not even using the "friends only" option over IB

Uhhh sorry what? I think you're speaking out of frustration and anger. I also wasn't aware SubStar isn't available in certain countries, unfortunately it's the only platform to my knowledge to allow this kind of genre. I'm also on Patreon, but underage characters are banned there.
Artists (me included) are using paywall platforms since the beginning of time, to provide a little help on the money side. For some, it has become the main income source too! Saying that's encouraging piracy is against common sense, respect for creators and good practices. Besides, I'm not getting rid of all my artworks here on IB: I'm just managing my userpage (as everyone is) taking down the older artworks and whatnot. Would you even have known, if I didn't say it first? Probably not, you and everyone else got more than 5+ years of contents to browse, for free...

Is that why some of your pics vanished a bit ago? Lame. Why post them to begin with then? I'm cool with supporting people for their works and even when artists timegate things to have some incentive structure. But exclusive stuff and apparently making different types of content that I wouldn't want to support just prevents me from being able to support the normal stuff I would consider it for.

Yes, my artworks from 2017 and before are no longer available on my page because I've taken them off: I feel they were outdated and did not represent my as an artist anymore. Am I reposting them to SubStar? No, absolutely not all of them. Some I do, some of them I've completely overpainted, for practice and for fun. I'm also willing, as I said, to submit the artworks to all the old commissioners, of course.
I do understand your last sentence: I don't agree with it, but it seems a common behaviour. But I'm not asking anyone to subscribe to my paywalls in a mandatory way, I'm not leaving my public galleries blank! I just need some more cash on the side and a little place for me to find new inspo and a small community of kinksters. I don't see what's the problem with that.

Kinda agree with the post above me removing previously available content that was free to paywall it is gross and you should probably just release your new content at a later date then the people who subscribe to you by like 2 to 4 months maybe for comics wait a year or 2 or something like that.

I think my previous answer covers part of your concerns but, regarding the timegate/early-access thing: I am doing that exactely with Patreon artworks... I admit I've not given the chance to SubStar, since I've been using it for just one year, but honestly receiving this kind of comments is not inviting me to reconsider, all the opposite...
It seems like people is reacting as if I've stolen something from them, as if my artworks should be always available and granted and for everyone to see, anytime. Maybe I do not feel safe or comfortable in displaying those contents everywhere, everytime? Maybe I'm just testing the waters and my comfort zone? I sure didn't expect this kind of backlash

It was up for everyone to see and now it's not, I never said or thought that you've "stolen" something it's just the fact that it used to be available to everyone and now you're paywalling old content.
I just find it kinda weird to do cause it's usually the reverse and people paywall their new content instead of their old content.
It's kinda a bad look for most people to have something out for free that later choose to paywall that same content, it feels a little sketchy to some people, I personally just find it a little strange.

Thanks for making it clearer, and double thanks for the apology, it's really appreciated. I said some people are reacting as if I'm stealing something from them, by the crudeness of certain comments, the judgemental tones, etc. It's really crazy to read.
I can understand it might look a little strange perhaps, but this page is not an archive: this is my personal artist's gallery. I'm allowed to menage it however I like and I'm allowed to repost my contents wherever I like. You say it might be a bad look, but why? If anything, I'm offering new people and potential clients a more accurate representation of myself as an artist. My gallery should reflect that: my personal style, my skills, etc

That's understandable! I don't wanna force anyone to subscribe to anything especially if that triggers some discomfort. This is just a reminder and an open invitation, for everyone who might be interested in those contents!
