Hey friends, I want your input on something please! ^^

I am planning to introduce ferals to Lax City, but I am not sure how to do it!

Should ferals in Lax City be like normal animals, or feral Pokemon instead? Lax City is full of anthro Pokemon, so I am not sure how I should set this up!

I'm making myself confused, help! 😵‍💫

Either is hot to me, personally! It'd make sense for it to be feral pokemon, since evolution is branching, not a straight line. It's the reason we've got chimps, gorillas, orangutans, and humans all on the same planet. Adapting to different environments and filling different niches!

Alternatively, having them be normal cats, dogs, etc. would make it a lot easier to differentiate when you're talking about a sapient anthro or a non-sapient beast. Otherwise every time you make a pokemon character you're either cutting off having the other form (anthro or feral) or you're creating a situation where you've got an anthro and a feral Arcanine in the same setting and there's room for you or the reader to confuse which one is being spoken about at any given time.

really depends on if you want to make them sentient if you ask me. I'd say feral pokemon if yes ,normal animals if no.

but I guess there are some pokemon who have definitely never had a thought before
