Well, I'm glad the government shut down is over. I don't know who was or wasn't affected by it but I do know that those who were affected by the shutdown were very angry and they had to try and find a way to make things stay afloat for themselves and their families till the shutdown was over. They even tried to do something about the food stamps when the shutdown was going on, some wanted the food stamps to still be used but the greedy ass Democrats said "no" not going to lie. Them Democrats have been the cause of a lot of bad things since we had George W. Bush in office as our president. That was back in the early 2000s and since then. The Democrats have been doing more and more that's had a negative impact on all of us while they were living it up.
I'm not a political man but I'm just stating all that I've heard and have been told by many people over the years. That's all. I'll admit, this shutdown, some it's affected, some it hasn't affected. For those who were affected. With how bad it was for them. What were they supposed to do? They got screwed over and had to try and make things be tied over until the shutdown was over. Which now that the shutdown is over. I know it's going to take a few weeks for the food pantries, the food stamps people use to have everything go back to normal judging by what me and others have estimated.
So far, I'll admit, America or the world itself is apparently more depressed and saddened right now with everything than they were back in 2010 or earlier. All I'm saying is that I'm talking about what all I've heard or have been told throughout the years. And for some reason. Everytime the truth came out on whose to blame. It all pointed to the Democrats. Again, I'm not a political man but I've been finding out more and more that the proof keeps pointing to them. And with how inflation went up four times when we had Biden in office, the price to anything went up, and how the pandemic made things harder, then I get that some people prefer Trump, others don't. I'd rather have Trump in there since Kamala was someone no one wanted in there since she has no idea what she's doing and has horribly botched a lot of things just like Biden. The country of America being in debt. All of that points to the Democrats. I get the tariffs are not doing anyone any favors but it's all because our country is in debt and that the Democrats are to blame for that.
So please don't flame me for this as I'm just saying what all I've been hearing or have been told. But other than that. I can kind of see why Americans and others feel depressed and saddened more than ever today than they were back in 2010 or earlier. I'll admit, I've felt that way off and on. I know I've been watching comedies in order to decompress or to keep myself feeling alright and I've got my mom with me. But I will admit that with how things are with our country and the world itself. It's hard not to feel that way like others do.
We have recently lost Jane Goodall and Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy was like the British version of Elvis Presley. Jane Goodall, I kind of grew up with watching on television or seeing in documentaries. But again, both have grown old but it happened without warning. Same could be said for Phil Robertson from the Duck Dynasty show. It all happened without warning but sometimes life can be unpredictable. May God rest their souls.
I've noticed that entertainment has even shown to have been affected too. Disney's live action remakes to their original animated films have all been tanking. Anything to watch in today. There's still plenty to see but not as much as there was from twenty or thirty years ago though. Yet anything new today, it's kind of hard to get into anything new today as most of it tanks, very little is good. No wonder people are looking back and watching old entertainment from thirty or twenty years ago. Or anything that's new today that's good as the old entertainment from back then. Yet some good cartoons on Disney Channel ended up getting cancelled without warning to which I'm like what is Disney doing.
I've noticed that with all that's been recently going on with America or anywhere. I bet going on family vacations is probably the furthest thing from others minds right now. A vacation to Disney World or Disney Land is starting to look like something that's not looking like a happy idea ether with how I've been hearing about how the theme park throughout the years used to do things to make things easier for their visitors but then without warning stopped doing those things and would say instead of planning things for their visitors, now the visitors has to plan their vacation there six months in advance, the rules begin to get too strict, some rules I understand, some rules seem to cause confusion to others, they've gotten addicted to price hikes, they often do nothing to help with that for those who can't afford to go there, they've acknowledged that Disney's theme park have become too expensive for some to go on vacation there but they did nothing to help with it, some of it they tried doing some solutions that are not really helping anyone.
They make everything there too expensive now from what all I've been hearing. Seems like only the super-rich can afford to go there. I heard they were working on a lot during 2025 this year and it meant it was going to be a tough year for the company and that very few people would be going on vacation there too. They did an update on how they asked families if they'd visit the theme park again and many of them said "no" and I think I know why and honestly, can't say I blame them, I kept hearing more about the theme park that's not been good news, even the workers there are treated horribly, underpaid, some of them are ether living in their car or living with family just to make ends meet while working there. But then again, the state of California is expensive to live there what with rent in some good apartments there being 1000 to over 1200 dollars a month, more or less. It's like you have to work at a job that makes you more than 20 dollars an hour just to afford to live there. A high dollar paying job is the only way to make it in California from what I've heard. I'm glad I don't live in California.
So right now, me and my mom are doing alright. Chugging along. But I will admit that there are some things I do miss from years ago. There are some things even from recent that I do miss as well and I know many others out there feel the same way too. So I'll be honest. I think depression has set in a little bit. There were times when I got depressed and was pulled out of it. But I'll admit, things with all we've been hearing about throughout the years can have that effect on anyone. I could use a hug right now. Can anyone tell me if they can relate.
