You don't have to like everything sombody does. But when somebody recommends a show or movie to you, it might help to actually try to check it out instead of just showing a total disinterest in it. Odds are those people listen attentively to you obsessing over what you like. Why not trust in their tastes? You might just find a new favorite, or something to critique if you're into that.
