I've been doing it for myself for awhile and then they just sit in a folder - until recently!
I do also recognize the threat AI art creates for artists. While I do not intend on stopping as long as people enjoy things as much as I do in a harmless fashion, I do want to also give a little bit back where I can.
SO: (As my time/resources allow)
1.) I will, for free, generate you a character image on the condition that it is being used first as a visual
representation to be given to an artist for a paid commission. (I will ask for proof)
2.) I can't promise this all the time or to everyone, but - if I'm in a good place to do it - I will throw in a
couple bucks directly to that artist for your commission, regardless if its my generation that you are
using OR any AI Generation on this site. (Again, will ask for proof)
Rules:
1.) You must provide proof (a public-facing artist's queue with your name on it that implies a hard
commitment to fulfilling the commission OR screenshot proof of a down-payment or total payment
to an artist.)
2.) I will not purposefully duplicate an artists style OR utilize any existing real art image as an img2img
or inpainting base. (Corporate and/or public domain entities excluded, ex: Disney styles are fine)
3.) I will not do human characters
4.) I will not do very abstract or unrealistically proportioned characters (obscenely/unrealistically huge
body parts included - no mega boobs or gargantuan penises)
5.) I will not generate any content that contains physical violence (mutilation, excessive blood, gore,
etc...) or scat/urine.
Since this is all for free (or, if I'm chipping in, that I'm kinda paying YOU xD), keep in mind that anything I take on is at-will on my part, on my timeline, and I make no guarantees in advance that I'm always available to do this for anyone. Once I do agree to something though, I'll definitely stick to a time-frame if there's some kind of deadline of resources to the artist doing your commission.
