I definitely relate to your feelings too. For me, I don't really have that feeling of being able to look at a person and experience sexual desire for them. If it's someone I care for, my heart gets wrapped up in everything about them, and I'll experience attraction in that way. I feel neutral or appreciative of people's bodies in a pleasing "artistic" way? But I am very sexual, I'm still human. I'm more attracted to erotic concepts or objects. The brain is mystifying, but I find it interesting what it'll tie to.
Ace is a spectrum. I've run into some who are sex repulsed and others with sexual stimulation addiction. They're all valid. I guess it depends on your own definition of what it means to be asexual.
