James Hardiman has opened up for a one time only adult commission block to help kickstart Angry Viking Press for next year and I just snagged a spot. He said he'll draw any character you want so long as its one YOU own or one of his own, up to 3 characters per picture. So I'm going to ask him to draw Ropes (my puma demon) with Natasha (and maybe Echo the bat if it'd look good, 3 way action) since I've been after him for ummm... ever since I started going to cons back when AC was still in Albany. He'd originally said he'd open for 'tame' commissions in January but with him taking on these ones, I don't see that happening now.
Thing I'm wondering is he's doing it as part of the kickstart for AVP which needs $12,000 by november 14th, and that asks for pledges which you don't have to pay IF they do not reach their goal by that date. BUT if you got it from paypal (like I did) they have already charged you the money up front so I wonder if they don't reach their goal and this the kickstart fails, will he still do the paypal commissions they've taken or refund the money? AVP is at $9174 of the 12k they need but I don't think that's taking in to consideration the money donated via paypal.

Like I said, been after him for years now to get a pic. He won't post it (he said he doesn't like people getting pics of him in person) but one year at AC I asked him if he'd be ok with dark natasha drawing a pic for him. he said yes and I took a poloroid pic of him along with one of the comics he drew himself in and handed it to her, told her I'd like her to draw a pic of James with a bat girl. She said I needed his permission and I went back to ask him again and he waved to her so she drew it. I walked over and handed it to him, you should have seen the look on his face. It was a PG cuddling pic, nothing dirty. He looked up from it at me and said "Tell her I'm going to get her back for this." I've brought it up a few times else where to get him to post it (I wasn't smart enough to take a pic of it at the time) but he won't.

I came across him and Cigarskunk several years back at MFM and bought one of his Skunkworks comics. Unfortunately that comic was lost at my old roomate's place when the city took his house from him =( and from what I understand, he's not going to do those again ever?

I believe that's what AVP is planning, to release a book containing all of the comics plus bonus stuff Hardiman had ever done. I never got to hang out with him, due to factors including the whole fanboy "What do I talk to him about?" one. Thrown e-mails back and forth with him several times though. As far as I know, he's out of the adult pic market (due to his current job and other issues) but still does the rare tame commission.
