Scraps/Rough Gens?

Would people be interested in seeing some rough gens in scraps?

I go through a lot of ideas, poses, art styles, etc, until I land on something I think is worth the quality of posting, then spend a bunch of time cleaning it up and reworking.

It leaves a lot of really hot images that are 60-90% of the way there, stuff I get bored of, or just don't feel like it'll work, and some raw gens.

Would people want to see these rougher images as well?

Sure, I think seeing AI "bloopers" would be fun. :)

If it is something interesting, why not? You can always place them in your scraps gallery

Despite my heavy involvement with AI, I have mixed feelings on it. I have a lot of artist friends who quite absolutely hate AI, so it's always been uncomfortable for me, despite being one of my creative outlets in a way.

There is a massive amount of slop out there. With the push of a button and a few words, a fappable image is unveiled before you. It has inherent issues with it, but shined and prettied up so much that it's basically a polished turd.

Such an image takes seconds compared to the time and involvement of a real artist. If more and more people were to gen slop, and post it, real artists would be lost in the flood of shit.

The fact that we have the ability to make something so quickly, so easily, without any prior artistic skill, and people won't put in an iota of time or effort to fix up glaringly obvious issues like the wrong amount of fingers, wonky backgrounds, blended limbs, etc, bristles my fur.

I could fill my gallery right now with 500 images of jerk-offable material that people would probably really like, but I still notice issues that I personally don't want to contribute to the flood of slop. If more people took time and created more unique pieces on AI I don't think there would be as much hate for it.

It's why I post so infrequently, and why I love to play with different themes and styles. It's a play space for me mostly, and I spend a pretty decent amount of time on every file I upload. I want it to be quality. I want it to look different and feel different than the generic shiny-fur'd, soft-skinned, large reflective anime-eyed AI that's popping up everywhere.

So in the end I guess it's more personal conflict than anything else.

I understand your feelings. Really, tho, AI will never replace human-made art, so there is no reason to feel bad about using it imo. You aren't claiming to be "drawing" it yourself - you are upfront about it being AI and that's enough. It seems to me like this is something you just find fun to do, and what's wrong with that?

I have plenty of artist friends who endorse AI art because they understand it's a tool and not a replacement for human talent.
You aren't doing anything wrong imo, and this is coming from someone who hates AI slop

Maybe find a third party image gallery that will host your *scrap* images, and simply provide a link on your profile here to it.  That way people that really want to see it can do so.  It'll also be easier for you not having to tag everything.  And it doesn't flood this site with more AI stuff.

Personally, I used to be against AI generated images, but I have started creating a bunch myself.  It's fun, but the generator I use isn't allowed to be posted here, sigh!

Do you have a good recommendation?

Other than hosting your own, no, not really.  The few good ones I know don't allow porn.
