Good mews guys, I am finally in my new home as of 9/19/2025. Gotta get a U-Haul to move the contents of my storage shed to the apartment, get a couch, a few bookcases, Uline wire racks for my cookware, dining table and a pair of proper ceiling lights with fans (all of which I am looking on Craigslist, Farcebook, Nextdoor and other sites to locate). Got a new queen bed being delivered to the place tomorrow so that I no longer have to sleep on the floor
And just in thyme for the first of four visits to the dentist for major dental work (pulling all upper teeth and getting a denture plate and the remaining is for the lower jaw, removing a split molar, deep cleaning, getting cavities filled and a bridge installed. This coming weekend I will be going on a veteran's retreat that is all expenses paid, just got to make sure that I can get soft food meals as I won't have the ability to chew on anything harder than spaghetti, soups and Beefaroni. Also, I am going to ask my dentist to let me keep the flapping tooth that started all of this mess so I can encase it in resin and use it as a reminder the change I going through to make myself better.
Other news is that as if today 09/28/2025 I clocked in at 251lbs down from 368lbs when I started my weight loss regimen on 01/01/2024. I've lost so much weight and inches from my waist that I can actually take off my pants without loosening the belt or releasing the fly and button. Guess I am going to have to look at getting smaller waisted jeans and pants as I am nearing my target weight goal of 190lbs. Once I lose another 30lbs, I'll have talk to my doctor about the possibility of getting some of the loose skin around my waist removed. Before anyone asks about what I did to lose the weight I'll tell you. I didn't change much in what I eat, just making sure to have proper portion control of the food (no more than around 2-2.5 cups of food in a 4 cup lunch bowl for work), drink plenty of fluids like water, tea, milk, juices etc. And yes I do drink a crap ton of root beer, but I am starting to switch over to tea now that I have my own place and can brew 8 gallons of sweet tea a week on average.
I am considering getting a small (7.5cu) chest freezer to stock up on meats and veggies and use the freezer in the kitchen for meal prepping and ice cream (the latter will last me nearly a year as I use ice cream as a treat for meeting goals.
And now the bad news, my 55" TV is dead as the screen is cracked right down the middle. I am trying to figure out how it got broke as I spent close to two hours wrapping the flat screen TV in alternating layers of bubble wrap and feather comforters (in short the TV was wrapped in 24" of padding) before sliding it into a sturdy braced box and getting put in my storage unit. It's going to cost me around $500 to replace it (and that is nearly half of what I paid for my 55" TV 8 years ago. So for the moment, I am without one of my main stress killer and entertainment venues until I get a new 55" or 65" TV.
My apartment is a mess as I am slowly bringing things from the storage shed to the apartment and getting thing sorted and properly put in their places and tossing things that I no longer need.
I am looking at getting a part thyme job at Amazon working from home in customer service and using that income to get old debts resolved, my car's AC/heater and rear passenger window repaired, as well as getting my gaming tower (an HFC Coolermax 900) built. I am also trying to get my ESA papers for Tiger and Dobby without having to pay $150+.
I am looking for a couple of good spots in the apartment for the cat's litter boxes until I can get the two monsters toilet trained as well as harness training them so I take them outside. I need to ask the apartment management if I can get exterior window kitty condos as I am on the second floor and I also have to get 2-4 cat trees to place around the apartment for the feline felons to hide in when needed.
would want me to move on and find someone to be with and not be so lonely.
I have been working with the VA to get my disability percentage increased from 30% to 70% as well as getting my depression, PTSD, Sleep Apnea, diabetes (I am prediabetic, but I learned that I can get that added to my disabilities) and am waiting for my referral to get tested for autism and ADHD. Right now I am sleeping far too much (roughly 10-12 hours daily when my normal sleep range was 4-6 hours daily) which leaves me extremely tired all day.
Lastly, in reference to my TV getting broken, I am not asking for help in getting a new TV, now if people do want to help, you know how to find the info to donate. Once again I AM not asking as I am trying to get a loan (not expecting to get one TBH).
Great to hear! If you got dollar stores there they have some good stuff for kitchen storage. Sorry to hear on the TV. I wish you best of luck settling in and with everything. :)

For some stuff for around your new place, you can't go wrong with Temu. I have a bestie who swears by Temu to get the things she needs. Then again, a dollar store, a Walmart, and other places may get you to where you need to be. I have a tiny apartment, so no stove/oven. I however bought all the utensils I needed to use with a crockpot from Walmart, including the crockpot itself. :)
About losing weight, that's incredible! Last I weighed myself, I was 275 down from 360. And, like you, I mind my portion sizes. I can eat what I want, but not as much as I'd normally want. I avoid buffets like the plague. And if I get hungry between small meals, a handful of either peanuts or pepitas (shelled pumpkin seeds) will do the trick for me personally.
About the bad news, perhaps asking for a bit of help (like roughly $500 or so) online could help get you the TV. I saw one on sale at Target for under $300, a 55-incher. The Amazon Fire 55" smart TV is on sale from $450 down to $340. ❤️
I'm still hoping for nothing but good things for you. Good luck also to finding a new mate. You've always seemed like a nice person, so I have no doubt you'll attract someone sweet and special.
That news is excellent! ❤️ For some stuff for around your new place, you can't go wrong with Temu.
