Hey folks... so, as per the title, I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm gonna have anything ready for Thursday this week. I may try and throw something up on Friday when I have a little more time, but... I dunno. I may be dropping my Thursday posts for a little while if I can't get around to queueing anything up. I'm a little dried up on Blood / Rifts, and it's been a slight struggle to keep up on it.
Or I may change my mind when I get a little time and have one of my partial stories queued for a while.
I've been trying my damnedest to keep my posts going, but right now I'm in the middle of a *lot* of changes in my day job. Namely... I'm taking over, and my boss isn't being very helpful with the transition. Things have been slow this past summer, which has been good for my free time, but we're looking at getting *very* busy over the next six months or so, and I'm already fucking exhausted. I've been putting in 10-hour days, five days a week, because I'm trying to juggle studying for a certification I need by November, cleaning a workspace that my boss hasn't let anyone change or fuck with in over 20 years, and basically training a new hire from the ground up. Weekends have been busy when life keeps pulling me out of the house to do stuff, which I'm just not always as mentally prepared for when I'm more of a homebody by nature, on top of flu season rearing its damn head again. I know this isn't overly relevant to my writing, but I wanted to give a little context and... not ask for *pity*, but just a little understanding if I cut back my posting for a bit.
That being said, Drenan's Folly will still post and finish to its completion, and I may try and get a few little side stories around afterward until I figure out what else to post on Tuesdays after they're done. I've got more posts ready for Saturdays to keep filling in commissions I've had tucked away for a while. I'm also still slowly but surely trying to work on commissions I've accepted, and for the umpteenth time I'm *extremely* grateful for your patience in waiting for my writing. My work-life balance is really askew right now, and what free time I've had, I've tried to devote to Eliza and my kiddo (he's almost three now, holy shit!), and when I *have* gotten quiet time to sit down at night... I'm fucking exhausted and it's hard to concentrate. Call it a skill issue (I know a few who would), but there just aren't enough hours or energy points in the day to keep me going I guess.
In a perfect world, nobody will notice any hiccups in my writing/schedule. But if ya do, this is why. In any case, thank you *all*, so much for reading my silly, smutty stories. I feel like I've gotten a lot of extra love from you guys this year in particular, and it keeps me wanting to write, whether I have the energy to do so or not. I know I don't always bat a thousand, but that doesn't stop me, nor will life if I have anything to say about it. I'm just... very, very tired. But what artist isn't, right?
