mid-sized comic project?

Greetings.

SO to make things short, I had an idea for a little comic that does NOT include any of my characters.
It's an original story, where I am actualy going into some copyrights. Butt Whore Cares!

This project is therefor completely free. At least some dignity is left in me and I don't want to make direct money out of it. So it's also nothing I will use on Patreon! Hooray.
But it IS 13 pages long and therefor a "large" project out of my scope. And so it is competing with TQFQ and comission works.

Which would now either result in the soft solution of reducing the TQFQ output to one page a month. Thou that will be decided by my patreons. They pay for 2 pages a month!
The other option is that I won't do any comissions for a longer time. Which is of course a bit tricky because money is nice.

I made a little Poll on patreon to decide if they are ready to loose a page of TQFQ for this project or not.
Maybe they decide for the project.

But what do you think?
Does a franchise based comic sound interesting?
And just as a little spoiler: It's the Zelda franchise ;)

personally i'd say "do what you need to keep income coming in", but if doing this comic project keeps from burnout then... depends on patron poll i guess. if i was in that position, one page of TQFQ and one of this Zelda comic a month sounds fair enough if not Zelda gets every other month if commissions/money takes priority.

heh.. Nice idea with the income. But furry artwork doesn't reach at all what I need. I was honestly hoping after half a year that my Patreon with just 1$ a month would go better. But na-ah.. Basicly, I loose a lot of time and money there, compared to comissions.
I get like... 10€ for a comic page currently.
As a comission a comic page costs at least 100€ So yeah Patreon itself is the worst deal.

oof, 2 pages a month for only 10moneys feels like way too little. i'd set it to only 1 page of any comic you're working on, and if Patreon can net 100muns then maybe 2 pages a month? how it was put felt like Patreon was covering just barely enough to encourage you to keep that pace. if you have higher tiers or bump up the base tier by 1 buck, maybe that might help too, but entirely up to you in the end.

With the difference being, that TQFTQ is your own project, so comparing what you do make out of it in tips (afaik you do treat Patreon as a tip jar) to a normal commission from a 3rd party, does not make sense.
If you would really feel that TQFTQ is a waste of time, you've probably would have dumped a lot earlier and concentrated purely on commissions, no?

Anyhow, I am not really interested in anything Zelda related, so I'll let your Patreon supporters decide this one.

Yeah so my patreons with impressive 7 votes are 4 agains 3. So basicly 50/50. Therefor that doesn't help any case.
I guess I will simply keep this idea back in my mind and maybe sooomewhen do it.

And yes, I admit, I was hoping for a bit more of a payoff from TQFQ. BUTT soon the first hard sex scenes will come. And the more fast pased fun stuff. I guess than it will start to get more attention. I know chapters 1 to 3 so far have been quite slow. But I want to set the rules of the world.
