Been trying to dredge up the will to pass it on for a week or more, but Eli said the crematorium has to hold onto Soggy's remains for a year, so they want to reconvene in August or September of 2026 to have a memorial in his honor.
Eli asked several of Soggy's friends and had me ask several more, and we all agreed that Eli should let the crematorium interr Soggy's ashes in Davis Memorial in Las Vegas rather than take out a loan for only a chance to win Power of Attorney in court - which would still take several months. The crematorium can't move forward with that for 12 months due to legal red tape, and Eli's preference is to make sure Soggy's cremains are laid to rest before holding the memorial to send Soggy onward.
So that's where things stand.
I'm sorry I took so long to get the word out on this one
Laws and regulations, though I'm not in on the details of which kind. I suspect it's in case somebody else who has a claim on his body comes forward and wants it somewhere besides their intended destination.
