Hello memers.
The Internet is full of mentally unwell people whose brains literally don't work right. They have twisted concepts of ethics and honor and they can't work through logical processes.
So they will do anything and fucking everything except delete a post.
Even if the entire post is "bad" and they don't want anyone to see or engage it anymore, they will spend hours a day begging everyone not to engage it (which also boosts the original post) when all they have to do is click three times and delete the post and the problem is solved.
This is because 1. they want to milk the original, trending post for clout and drama and 2. they think deleting a post is embarrassing or shameful. Internet gremlins, instead of thoughts and opinions, have three memes they can remember at any one time, and one of them is "delete this". So other weak creatures think they "lose" if they actually delete anything.
Well you don't. Who gives a fuck. Would you delete it if you had no gremlins? Then what's the difference?? Such trivial creatures shouldn't have any place in your consideration.
- Made a typo? Copy to clipboard. Delete that shit. Paste it and edit it to not have the typo. Takes 15 seconds. Proofread your posts better in the future.
- Post was misinformed? Delete that shit. Optionally, make a new post about how the previous was mistaken. Takes either 2 seconds or a few minutes.
- Just don't like that your post exists? Delete that shit. Never mention it again. Instantly solved.
- You should get a script to auto-delete everything older than a couple months anyway.
Maybe the same fuckheads who think they need to "preserve" every video game that's ever been made, a week before their release dates, also think they need to "preserve" every single fucking social media post they've ever made.
Well you don't. Who gives a fuck. If you posted something flawed and you can't edit it, delete it, dumbass.
