Oh my...

Now, I'm not one to fully judge given my art tendencies. Pairing Blaze with Loona? Super fun! It's created a lot of opportunities for me to do something new and creative I genuinely enjoy given their dynamics.

However, I recently went down "the rabbit hole" and... my gods. The amount of people who think Loona is their real life wife and go hard-core mode on Twitter to defend "that right" is... interesting.

To each their own, I suppose! Do what you wanna do with said fictional characters, just don't forget reality is a thing lol

Well, part of my creative process involves looking at what other people have created. Is mine too similiar? What mistakes did they do I can avoid?

And it's resulting in me diving into Loona fanfiction and... ho boy xD

Honestly, its how I see it. Fictional character, many alternate universes!

Although truthfully, no lie, the Loona at the end of Blaze and Loona's saga would incinerate most anyone lol

The absolute toxicity and hill-death that happens over the most inane make-believe shit on social media is what drives me away from it, but stories like this kind of make me want to re-join and just observe from a distance. XD

But I also can't keep myself from fanning fires so it's probably better I just stay the hell off it all.

As I recall, Krystal gets/got the same treatment, with a few notable community members who would trash-talk people for getting commissions of her (at all, not limited to ones with their OCs).

I have no problem with people seeing a character as their SO (I wish Red XIII was my husband) but I've never understood how people can legitimately see them as their RL spouse (unless maybe they own a sex doll?) or get so worked up they think art involving the character that is not them is like... Cheating or something... Like do they actually, truthfully think the character is real? Or are they all just being goofs?

This has been a thing for ages. I first noticed it with Gadget Hackwrench. I think she's not all that well remembered anymore, but wow, on the early internet the content centered on her was something else.

There's even some sort of religious cult around her in Russia.

Yeah from experience with someone that I loved going do the rabbi hole and losing reality I totally agree. Please realize the Loona is fiction and not real. Heck, even a plushie is more real then that. I mean whatever floats their boat but I hope these folks don't fall down the insanity well. Already enough people like that in the world. Don't need more. Fiction is Fiction. Non-fiction is reality.

Anyway, I do enjoy the Loona and you OC pics regardless of others thinking you are stealing their wife LOL. Keep up the good work.

Oh trust me, you're probably better off not getting into debate with these types. Once delusions of grandeur set in and famtasy becomes their reality it's becomes dangerous for you and them.

Same thing happened with Princess Loona, Genshin waifus, ZZZ waifus, Umamusume waifus (even though 1/3 of the female characters are based on Male horses IRL) ..... the world just keeps turning. Twitter just gives people a megaphone from where to spout their own little world's of disassociation from <3

Not you though...you're definitely in it for the refreshing lawls...that's commendable!

I mean, separating reality from fiction is pretty easy... for most people lol

And I personally just love Loona's character POTENTIAL. Like, I'm having a great time exploring her as a character and how her and Blaze would react together. Super fun!

there was this guy who married twilight sparkle and then wrote a letter to kevinsano how he and his wife doesnt appreciate that kevinsano's friends draw futa twilight sparkle for kevinsano's birthday and politely asked them to stop

I would post my work on Twitter, since Bluesky is dying, but I fear the weirdos (those who cannot separate fiction from reality, or those who feel the need the harass anyone they don't like...) mostly. If people on Twitter were far more chill and didn't throw boulders at anyone they disagree with, I'd be more willing to post more there. But yet, I'm still far too scared to show up.

So, hearing that you are having a blast (from a previous comment.)  is actually pretty nice to hear. I always admire those on Twitter that can handle to toxicity, let alone be entertained by it. I'm just a wussy, if anything.

Loona is, in my eyes, very polarizing. For me, all those fanarts aren't the real Loona, as be honest, she would shred most males into pieces at their first try to hit on her.
I am currently planning a pic myself, with Loona presented by a cosplayer from a  comic con who was picked up by Balto and Nikki.

That's what always gets me. The fanfictions I've read simply have the OC end up with Loona... because.

What happens when Blaze tries his flirty BS the first time after he dies and ends up in Hell?

A kick to the gut before he's slammed into a nearby dumpster and the lid is closed on him... and the whole first story is just him trying, struggling, and failing to get anywhere before SHE is the one to step forward once he listens and stops trying.

I love Loona's nasty and mean attitude. Its why I raise an eyebrow when so many people erase that lol

I can understand having affection towards certain characters. Loona is great, and Freya Crescent will be my wife one day. But getting that clingy over a fictional character is nuts, moreso if you get angry that someone else is with them. They're not yours to lay claim over.

I remember a while ago I got a comm that had Carmelita Fox in it. The artist got a message afterwards from someone complaining about it cause "Carmelita is my wife how dare you". We both had a good laugh about that.

Every fandom has it's cranks. That's nothing new and has never changed. IIRC I first met you on that furry sanctuary website like 20 years ago that had that admin who was in witness protection to stay away from one of those cranks, even. XD
