So I've been swamped with IRL stuff and felt like I don't really have much time to draw anything. I'd like to do more Nyru stuff but I only have ideas and materials that would only work for much larger projects, so I've kinda found myself in a spiral of procrastination. When I have more free time I'd still love to do more stuff with him.
I'm trying to think of other things to work on, but the only thing that's currently lighting a fire in my heart is related to the title of this journal post.
Basically, I've been thinking about making an official species out of Neia Palitan's unique features; a subspecies of furred dragon with catlike paws, no horns, long ears, and a pair of sub-wings at the base of the tail. And fat teats.
Obviously, I can't just say "go ahead and copy-paste Neia" because that would be dumb and take away her uniqueness, and I'd still like her to be unique. So I'd need some way to show off a range of appearances for this species of dragon to take. So, the obvious conclusion is to make some Adopts.
Those cultured among you might be aware of the tropes Neia is based upon; typical gyaru/big-sister type. And, her name andcolor scheme are both derived from neopolitan icecream.
So, I already have an incredibly convenient guide to creating characters; I take a character archetype, flavor of icecream (or other desert for that matter), and voila, I have a character that is different than Neia-- visually and in personality.
A few idea that've come to me already;
Tira Misu (tiramisu); true milf ara-ara energy, tall and extra thicc. black, brown and milky white colors.
Pita Shiu (pistachio); tomboy childhood friend, lean and petite. shades of brown, green and white.
Kara Mela (caramel); princess/ojousama energy, tall and lean with big patches of fluff, medium-big teats. white with gold markings/hair.
Rasa Beril (rasberry); shy femboy, short, fat butt. white and red.
However, as I've learned from the last time I tried doing adoptables, just because I think an idea is good doesn't mean other people will like it enough for fork over a nice chunk of dough for one; or enough people will like it enough to competitively bid in an auction for it. Neia is by far my most popular OC at this point, so I'm pretty confident in this idea, but I'm still gonna test the waters first before I embarrass myself again. I do not want a repeat of last time.
So I'm throwing this out into the ether. Would you, dear reader, be interested in having your own big tiddy fluff dragon(ess)? would you;
A. want to get one for a flat price (and potentially miss out if someone gets it first).
B. be willing to pay a premium in an auction to claim one.
C. prefer to get one custom made via commission (me or someone else), as you don't particularly love any of the ideas listed already.
D. just draw it yourself, as you are an artist with a divine spark of inspiration, and have been simply waiting on permission.
feedback beyond the listed options is of course welcome.
consider this an informal poll. if I don't get any responses I'll just scrap the idea altogether and Neia will remain one-of-a-kind.
