I mean, he ended his post with "I am keeping myself and my family safe right now." That's usually the time to put whatever influencer bias aside and just absorb the information.

From the video, it seems like Jakarta's barely hanging on, with tons of poverty and the elites being super greedy it just took one too many wrongs, and the last straw was a politician's raise. The powerful people love to vote themselves raises while everyone else gets poorer. So, the people had enough. The streets filled up with all the forgotten: students, factory workers, taxi drivers. They just wanted a fair shot, but instead, they got shot with tear gas. Then a cop truck ran over a motorcycle driver, and everyone saw a guy become a red smear on the road. He was a "nobody." Now he's martyr and a symbol for all the anger that turned the protest into a riot. They tried to burn down the parliament building, so the President went on TV and gave a "non-apology." The government even paid internet kids to say the inferno was just a warm glow, thinking they could gaslight a city already choking on smoke.

It's the oldest story there is. the rich get richer. the poor get the bill and the bodies. Luckily we have streamers like asmongold (one of the most modest streamers on twitch) getting the word out

Brazil's also not going well too. We're still letargic, but each day we see more and more impunity, corruption and opressing laws being made, even closer to be judicial dictatorship that if we don't wake up, it might be too late.

Yeah, whomever the announcer or whatever they're called is comes off as a bit of an ...(lets say an impolite person, to put it politely).
But yeah, not surprised a revolt is happening, not pretty but is something often needed though to put the spoiled elites back under the peoples control.

Yup, we only goes out when necessary during that time. Thankfully the chaos has died down at this point. We are still waiting to see how the govt will react to our demand now ><
