Where is a good place to archive all your content?

I posted a Flash animation but it had my cursor visible and it got removed from e621 apparently, and I guess they don't give you a notification when your shit gets deleted.https://x.com/OddmentsShop/status/1961373344965529677

e621 is a weird site...

To be frank no single place is really ideal tho. Best to post in multiple places I guess...

Couldn't find this specific one.

I'll have to look through my FLAs and figure out which one from this series it is, I have so many variations and backups in case the file corrupted or something.

If you do not mind anything that is a combination of Discord, Baraag, and telegram combined as on...the best at this point I can recommend is basically this social network called "cutefunny" part of the Element / Matrix network.

It's like discord because of the layout with less restrictions, Telegram because of it's simplicity without all the extra like discord, and baraag because of the way it is hosted on a network under your own unique server of choice...just like the old days of IRC.

You can store and share your files there, create your own room etc and it's free so far

Telegram is a piece of shit with almost no support to the user, and if you logout from your account -by accident or by emergency- and have no more access to the phone number you used to register, all your stuff goes into the void. And the funniest part is when you want to recover your account, and the shitty system they have forces you into a loop where you try to recover access using a mail, but to accept the mail it requires your phone number -which you must declare as lost previously in the process, that's why you're trying to login with a damn mail- AGAIN, something like that, I can't remember the shit very clearly. Spent years trying to forget it, because I lost a ton of files, conversations, and contacts due to their enjoyable recovery systems...

hence my emphasis on the "like programs" part. It had it's pros and cons, they just did a horrid job of getting it right. Fix those flaws and viola, you get a good creation. Like Weasyl for example. Good potential, but somehow it managed to flop.  Or Bluesky, it was great at the start, then it flopped.  Then there was tumblr/ It was great until they went all puritan purge.

I see the matrix / element as a sort of Frankenstein sort of thing. Taking bits and pieces of other programs to make something of its own. So far so good. Especially with its open minded regulations system...which of course tends to bring a lot of socially questionable mindsets because true freedom online is becoming a true rarity these days. All it takes now is for a bad apple to somehow spoil the bunch for everyone like all great things.

I'm still using Bluesky... it's far from dead.

It's more about how Bluesky's problem lies in giving every average user the power to create and share blocking lists that can be used to label people they don't like. For an example, there are PG-13 Furry Streamers who are put together in a 18+ Furry list despite having literally zero 18+ content in their account, or people put into any derogatory list for having an opinion the person managing the list disagrees with. And people there are very trigger-happy about blocking people that refute their claim or have different opinions too.

I guess, if people block me, then they probably just don't want to see my content, their loss. I haven't really engaged with that part of Bluesky. I also have a Twitter but mostly I use it to talk to other artists on Twitter, for the most part, people don't see/react to my posts all that much there, haha.
