Just got home from seeing Ne Zha 2 in theaters and I have to say, this is probably one of the only movies I'd ever recommend people see in theaters vs in home because there is so much happening on screen and so much detail the only way to enjoy it is when its huge on front of you. It'd be a good idea to have seen the first movie so you know who's who because they don't hand hold you in this one, they get right to it and keep at it the whole way to the end. The first movie had all of the character establishment and world building and while the second movie has some flash backs, they focus on what people are there to see and that's battles; 2 hours and 24 minutes of fighting with super powers and magic with brief breaks to talk before fighting again and the fights just keep ramping up until you get the lord of the rings multiple armies level of combat going with monsters and dragons included. They have some emotion provoking scenes as well I won't spoil, one can almost got to me followed by a rage scene after to break you out of it.
So if you like CGI animation, sort of comical monsters and lots of martial arts fighting, go see this film while its still in theaters because I think its a limited run.
