September. And what's next?

I kinda aimed to do some Sneptember illustrations this year (snow leopards would be nice to learn, I planned to start with some study sketches and them move to more illustrations later on), but... Hollow Knight: Silksong comes out at 4th/5th.

While I'm not a big fan of buying games on premiere, I certainly did make exceptions for some, and Silksong will probably be one of them. I don't say I will be completely out and gaming until I finish it, but it will certainly have a impact on my casual works.

And, well, there's always procrastination problem. I also aimed to draw some dragons for Smaugust. Lo and behold, I did two dragon illustrations the whole month (so far). And not actually illustrations too, more ike colored sketches. And not of any dragon characters I have, just some pretty generic dragons. Of course, there's an excuse - first days I needed to rest after July's ArtFight, then I played some LoL with friends, then I just needed to rest because I was just feeling off... But, the thing is, just sketching for just 10-30 minutes a day - I definitely could do that. But chosen not to. Sigh.

Rest is important, keeps things fresh :)  Can relate; I draw as a hobby, but have a full-time job XD  Hope you're doing well

Well, rest is needed, but making it last most of the month? It just feels wrong... :(

How am I doing? Well, the first reflex was to respond "meh", or "fair-to-middling". There are goods (a few), there are bads (which seem to be a bit more than the goods, but not too much either)... Which actually is kinda depressing, when it's bad you can just say "it's bad", when it's good: "it's going good", but when it's just "meh"...

I like to see it as a constant pursuit of life balance.  Things won't always be great, ups-and-downs and all that.  Maybe being content (some argue happiness is 'fleeting') is a more realistic goal for life balance.  Like your stuff :)
