This is very difficult for me to process. I'd known about his condition for some time, but he had at least seemed positive about things. And before that things had seemed like they were finally moving in the right direction for him. All the wins last year on getting his stuff in order. The world just sucks sometimes. Rest easy friend.

I didn't know him to well, just interacted with him here and there over the years in a group. it's sad to see him dissappear from the community regardless. I didn't know he was going through such a thing. I still remember when he used to throw up those "well anyways" gifs constantly.

Wow... This one really sucks. Soggy was one of if not my oldest friend in the fandom. We knew each other for a literal decade. We didn't really chat as much as I would've liked, but we were both kinda reclusive in our own ways. But he was always very kind and sweet to me, always very supportive of my art (even back when i was terrible XD) He was a wonderful person, and an even better friend, and he will be missed dearly.

Played Minecraft with him back in 2013.  I asked Aogami to do a sort of commemorative picture series of everyone on the server ...except Soggy, who didn't have a reference for his 'sona at the time (I think he was still deciding what he even wanted to be).  I really wish he was a part of it now; he always should have been.

It is somehow more upsetting to hear that it wasn't the cancer that got him, but complications tangentially related to it.  I hope they were doing everything they could for him.

I knew something was happening, I was just too scared to ask him about it. I really wish I actually was brave enough to ask what was really going on. I always looked up to him because he would always be watching my streams and responding to a lot of the things I would talk about, no matter if it was a good or bad day, he was always there. Even when I was first starting out I saw him on. And he did have good advice even if it was sparse and cryptic at times. Just makes it feel worse when he seemed happy on the direction my art was going and that I was working on myself, even helping me with places I could go to for conventions. I just wish he was able to see more, I didn't think his condition would go in this direction. And I didn't get to say a proper acknowledgement, only a moderation report being my last message to him. Its scary how fast a life can change.

Soggy was one of the first cub friend I had and one of the first hanging with in person.. I’ll miss him deeply, he is a better place and I thank all his close friends for being there for his final moments.

I only knew him for approximately 5 years, at the start of the pandemic, when we met at someone's stream chat (can't remember who was streaming exactly). We got along quickly. He was very easy to get along with, and the news about his passing just hit me like a ton of bricks to say the least

True to his alias, he was a Lurk Master. I'd see him pop into my streams, even if he never said anything, you knew he was making sure things were running smooth.

This is very sad news. I wasn't ever -close- to Soggy but they were one of the first people I ever spoke to on here, they were always positive, always friendly, and they made IB feel like a home.

They were one of the first furries I meet in real life around 10 years ago now, and IB will be worse without them.

I didn't know him as much as I should have, given the fact that he often came to my streams on pomf, occasionally to my IB, and we discussed from time to time on shared tg cub or babyfur groups - tho he seems to have left all of them a little while ago. Some of them, like the pomf one, are groups I would have left immediately if it weren't for him being in there.

In the end I pretty much took his presence as granted and l, as usual never saw it coming, which somehow hasn't taught me yet that I should treat people as if they could be taken from us sooner than we think.

He was genuinely nice every time we spoke and knew plenty about whatever we talked about. I don't really know you and your relation to him but I'm really sorry about your loss.

This is heartbreaking, though I didn’t know him well it still hits hard finding this out. Soggy often sat in my streams even when no one else was there, he was a wonderful person, that I can tell even from how little I knew him. I keep those who were close to him in my thoughts, and I hope he rests easy. May we meet again in another life Soggy ❤️
