I've hidden my gallery. You can find me on the following websites that don't conflate "pressing the PrintScreen key" with "painstakingly rigging models, scenes, and lighting and then having the GPU render it for hours or even days": - https://www.furaffinity.net/user/codelizard - https://www.weasyl.com/~codelizard
If you commissioned me here on IB and want/need a copy of your story, send me a private message with your email address and I'll mail you a copy of the original .docx file. You can repost it if you want.
Not only is IB continuing this ludicrous policy that believes 3D renders are "screenshots" (which they are not, by definition), but they still haven't even publicly stated it.
No announcement journal to clarify the rule change. Check for yourself here: https://inkbunny.net/news_archive.php Their last update is from over a year ago.
No updates to the Acceptable Content Policy. Check for yourself here: https://wiki.inkbunny.net/wiki/ACP It still doesn't even have a "3D" section or any mentions of 3D at all! What 3D art is OK? What isn't? What attribution is required? Who knows?
Yet to this day, IB's administration is still going around taking down the galleries of 3D artists on flimsy, unwritten pretexts, all of which utterly fail when applied to the GenAI pieces that they seem to love so much.
I don't make 3D art and I don't expect my protest to accomplish much by itself as I'm a very, very small player here on IB. But if it raises awareness at all of this insane policy and how all 3D artists on IB have a Sword of Damocles hanging over their heads, not knowing if their entire gallery might get removed, and also not even knowing what steps they can take to avoid that, then so be it.
And if you are a 3D artist here on IB - make sure to crosspost to somewhere else. You have absolutely no way to know if you'll wake up and find your entire gallery gone one day. Keep backups.
